Now that is odd.

He can't see the Lamela qualities. Or maybe he can but doesn't rate them to the same extent as others.
In his opinion Lamela doesn't provide enough offensively, too much one-footed, slow the play down all the time with his many touches and is to slow. Hard to disagree with, but then I tell him to look at his workrates and what he offers the team in general, so I might have changed his mind a bit.

Jose though, don't get him started on that one. I'm sure i'll change his mind on that one as well, he's just an old grumpy man :joyful:

I personally don’t want him rid. I will back him totally. But as I said earlier; if we only achieve 1 point in our next 2 games, then sorry he goes. Nobody more than me want him to succeed. On a tactical front he is seriously lacking. It is not just Trippier who felt that. Read between the lines of his comments. Quite a few of the present players are miffed at his tactics.
In the last few days you've said "for me his time is up" , "he's run his course" . Your were fuming with his tactics and now you're saying you "personally don't want rid". You're all over the place on this. Keep changing your position on a daily basis. Almost stream of consciousness, nonsensical, flip floppery.

Pretty sure a few of us feel the same, you're hoping for a turnaround and clinging onto something that sparks it.

It’s too late for a turnaround

A turnaround would have come a few games ago if it was going to.

We were so lucky we had back to back against a team that would struggle in the Europa qualifying. If we had Olympiakos is those games it could have been very different, they are pretty poor themselves

I do hope I’m wrong, but if he hasn’t sorted it out by now he isn’t going to

I don't really get this. You want him to stay, but are giving him two more games?

So if there's another two drab performances and we manage to scrape two points you're happy for him to stay?

My mind was made up after Brighton. We could manage one win from the next two, and still be exactly the same for the rest of the season.

I think we're past the game by game results phase.

You either believe in him for the long term or you don't, that's the way I see it.

And I think it's broken.

I really echo this sentiment and to be honest I think Poch has been given more than enough rope, plenty!

25 points from last 24 league games, no away league win in 10 months. What more are we waiting for?

A ‘rebuild’ could take another 18-24 months and this might sound harsh, but at the end of it might be some top 4 finishes and no trophies at best - even when things are going well I think he’s proven to have a ceiling with us as a coach.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

That attitude would change the minute we won something. My dads the same
If someone can still support Spurs after George Graham being manager, I am sure that they can handle Mourinho. Saying that, I'm dubious that Poch is leaving anytime soon anyway. No sense that anything is going to change anytime soon.

To be fair, I'm still like that at times and I think it's a heart versus head thing.
I'd love Poch to turn things round because of the times we've had, I just don't think he can, or will.

I still go into every game, convinced that this one will be the one that we sort our shit out in.
I still come out of every game disappointed with Poch, the players and myself.

No one is bigger than the club, yet Mourinho could make some give up supporting the club if he is to manage us.

Kane would be still in the championship if Sherwood didn't throw in to the first team or worse never to be seen again as he doesn't play for the U21
Kane aside, and your assessment is really just guesswork, Sherwood brought through Rose and Bentaleb changed the club forever? This is what traditionally would be called fiction.

4 bad months in 5 years, and in a year we reached the CL final.

Unbelievable to see so many people wanting him to go.

We've been progressing every year since he was appointed. A couple of bad months won't change that. He can have a bad season.
He stayed when Real Madrid wanted him and some of you want to repay that faith letting him go after a couple of bad months.

Four bad months? 2018 calendar year we had 85 points. This year we have 40 points...

Not really, my point is simple whilst I'm not a Tim Sherwood fan, him bring through youth players at the expense of first team players laid the ground work for Poch to succeed

Wenger won multiple trophies but once the decline started he couldn’t turn it around. The same with Mourinho at various clubs. Klopp at Dortmund. There’s numerous examples of trophy winning managers that couldn’t turn round a decline. Which makes me wonder what possible logic or evidence is there that Pochettino can turn this around. If some of the best managers of all time couldn’t why on earth will Pochettino be able to ?
