Why then has he stated he will go in the summer and not in January. Unfortunately I can't remember where or when he said it, I am sure someone on this thread will know.
Not sure he's ever stated anything like that himself. Might be a 'source'? Things can change quickly anyway. If he thought that he could get a January move to Real Madrid then I don't think that he will risk waiting until the summer.

Tell him he goes in Jan or sits out the rest of the season on the sidelines. He's had his chance to show a small amount of committment and failed, so we have to think to the future which he obviously isn't part of. If he's that desperate for Madrid, and money isn't important to him as he himself said, he'll go and we can get on with our plans.
He should sit out far away from the squad beginning now. Get him away from the team asap. Waste of a matchday squad place. If he is still here in January and we are in a numbers crunch, strip his squad number and drop him from the named list. Harsh? Maybe but more than deserved after his quotes and 10 months of abject performances,

Would have a very negative effect on the squad. Many of them are his mates and would probably do the same in his position. I'd sideline him but there's no need for retribution.

I’d love to fuck this guy off to the reserves for the rest of the season. Tobi too.

They’re both a pair of pussies who think they’re way better than they actually are. Loser mentality as well as when the going gets tough they down tools.

I’d honestly rather finish 10th this season if it meant we could chuck them out of the squad for the rest of the season. This season is fucked anyway.

I don’t hate Eriksen. I reckon the majority of Spurs fans are pleased with his overalls contribution from the first time he came to us from Ajax but him not signing the contract ( he is entitled to) not committing to the cause and waiting to leave on a free , with he’s overall performance level dropping dramatically, has left people mystified as to Eriksen’s commitment, coming into focus again.

Personally I wish Eriksen all the best , hope he gets he’s dream move to Real Madrid however for Tottenham and our benefit moving forward its best we side line him until he can leave with our blessings in January.

Jan Toby Wanyama Rose the same imo

He’s already had a negative effect. He should not be around the squad.

He's playing badly and it would seem that is down to lack of focus. What you're suggesting is punitive and spiteful. There's no need for it. Sideline him by all means but punishment is childish and unneccesary.

for a manager that bangs on about commitment all the time it's pretty weird how poch is happy to allow eriksen to just carry on as normal.

i know people have their own views on this and will say he's well within his rights but i lost respect for eriksen as soon as it became clear that he was running down his contract. i wouldn't boot him out of the squad entirely but i would make it clear to him that he's behind dele/lucas/son/lamela/lo celso and that he'll only play if we're short for whatever reason.

I have just read Eriksen's representatives were in touch with the Bayern hierarchy after the 7.2 game .
Well all I can say if anybody can defend this I would like to hear what they have to say.
If this is his and his agents mindset he should be no where near the first team squad he is a disgrace and if any body uses past form as a pass on these actions then they are deluded because the past with the spurs is the reason you should not act like him and his agents and this bloke is stinking the place out get rid as soon as possible in the meantime keep him away from those that want to actually play for the club he is a cancer on all we are trying to achieve.
If he had waited a few weeks then maybe OK but straight after this massacre the no way is this acceptable

Get Lo Celso back - drop Eriksen entirely. He’s going, and fair enough. But he’s not played well enough to warrant a place in the squad. I’d also look to sign someone in Jan if possible (along with a RB).

If this is true, he needs to be made an example of. Now would be the time to ruthless and petty. Call him out in front of the team then immediately boot him off the first team right then and there. Let the club decide whether he should train with the reserves or just pay him off and release him while publicly saying what he did just for good measure.

The complete lack of commitment on the pitch over the last year is one thing. To open up discussions with a club who just demoralized your current club is another.
