It's a good point but we are not in a position where we can just give players away and we also can't make them leave if they don't want to. Modern day football is like this unfortunately. As for bringing players in that's more on him than Levy.

I was talking to someone yesterday who is pretty well connected and in his words... If MP was so adamant on playing this diamond with two up top, why on earth wasn't a CF prioritised. We've had issues when Kanes been out playing one CF let alone wanting to play two.

Nothing regarding this formation change makes any sense.

I'm starting to get the sense that Poch got stoned off his tits on several extra strong gallons of mate while sitting in front of Hoddle and Waddle singing Diamond Lights on Top of the Pops.

I can't see any other reason for him using it.

Really hope the club move forward ASAP. Can't help but think that this crap is going to drag on and on and I'm sick of it already.

I started the season envious of season ticket holders, now I'm absalutely gutted for them.

They're the ones paying the big bucks to watch a team that can't be arsed to put the effort in, play for each other or play for the manager, who in turn is so stubborn to persist with formations and tactics that don't work.

The whole situation is piss poor. Just feel sorry for people who have saved up and spent £1000's on tickets.
I was planning on getting over to a game before Xmas - fuck that now. Spending hundreds to watch the crap we're serving up at the moment lol. I know plenty others feeling the same way.

At the end of the day our football has been so poor for months.

Once I see the effort back I'll get myself over.
Me too. I am not going to spend a fortune to show up at the moment.... Will hold my horses and see what happens come Xmas time....

Fuck me, what an entitled bunch our ‘fans’ have become.

I don’t want to start the ‘I’m a better fan than you because I go to games’ argument but this sort of whinging shit gets on my tits.

I am there to support the team no matter what, and so are my brothers and other mates I go with.

Literally don’t understand the mentality. Only go if you can afford it. Not going because we will probably lose is just pathetic!

I will try to support the team and manager more than ever right now. That’s my role for the club. A role I signed up for for life. A role I learned from my dad, and my son will learn from me.

Modern football really is tragic. Breaks my heart to see how throwaway it now is.

I've spent thousands going to watch Spurs over the years, through the shit days as well so you can fuck right off with that reply, coming from across the water everytime as well.

I think it's fine for committed fans who are coming from far to hold back on doing so when everything is so stale at the moment. WTF is wrong with that? It costs a lot of money. And then turning up and watching a team who are coasting through the games... You're having a laugh.

And it's not about losing a game, it's about effort on the pitch. Cost me the guts of 600 quid to come and see a game. Maybe I could of worded it better but bloody hell, I know I'm a committed fan and always will be.

One of the things I find quite baffling is that we see the odd player every now and again get a game in the first team. Think KWP, Tanganga, Skipp, Parrott, etc. Actually. Even Moura.
They have all impressed to a degree, (Moura has been sublime at times).
Why do we barely ever see them again?!
I’m not having the “KWP is shit” argument. He’s not. With a run of games he could be really good.
Maybe they’re not excellent examples, so I guess maybe I should rephrase to the following:

This is what I don’t get. We see a promising performance from someone and Poch decides to then bench them or exclude them from the squad for the next game. I just cannot fathom it? ??‍♂️

I.e. none of the players that could be really fucking useful ever seem allowed to have a run of games to prove themselves. How are they ever going to get in the first team and maintain a place in that scenario?

I know the rule is they are given a contract to train, not to play, but c’mon. How are some of these (potentially really good) players ever going to become what they could be without game time?

With respect, Rikki, a quick trawl through my recent posts makes it fairly clear that I have no agenda here. Perhaps you saw criticism of Pochettino and leapt to a conclusion? That smacks to me of someone having an agenda... ;)

I'm also aware he has house in Barcelona, hence the sentence I used in my post, "I think it’s his returning home to Barcelona". Again, maybe someone has leapt to a conclusion without fully taking in what was said...?

Furthermore, I also said that it struck me as out-of-character for a manager noted for his man-management skills to have not managed something that, to my way of thinking, may have affected the players. That presupposes that I have a measure of belief in his abilities and so makes a qualified criticism, rather than jumped into purely because it fits a 'certain agenda'.

As I've said before, I feel very much that the last thing that we need as a fanbase is to throw phrases like 'knee-jerk', 'agenda', 'not a real fan', etc. etc. at each other. That's my agenda.

I didn’t say your agenda. I said certain. Chill bru.

That won't wash. If you're going to you're going to nip off to your bolthole after a disappointment like that then I think its beholden to explain to the players why, i.e - letting them get away and forget about it. There's no suggestion that he made that at all clear. He just... buggered off. If I was one of the squad I wouldn't necessarily take it personally but I would definitely revise my opinion of my boss and lose a chunk of respect for them. What happened to 'We Win together and we lose together'?

How do you know he didn’t tell them what he was going to do (not like he has to now is it)

At the end of the day, what’s done is done. I can certainly see why he’d want to bugger off after a huge disappointment, we’ve all been there im sure.

No, you certainly didn't. However, I'd argue that if that were truly the case, why quote me at all...? Why not simply make your own point independent of someone else's...?

And even then, you're still placing yourself in a poor position by suggesting that there's an agenda at all. Even if it wasn't directed at me. Instead you're accusing a nebulous, undefined set of 'others' of having an agenda. Perhaps it would be better if you stopped thinking in terms of 'agenda' altogether...?

That’s how it works. Thought you made an interesting point. Was answering.

Didn't KWP bookend a season with MotM performances, then see no action in between?

Why would you need a lawyer, 'bru'? Aren't you 'chilled'? :)

Your right and ability to answer is certainly fair enough. But how you responded could be misconstrued, no? As I said in my response to you, it's not about agenda. I've said before there is no-one on this forum who is calling for Poch to go or for Poch to stay because of anything other than they believe it's the thing that's best for the club. That's not an agenda or if it is, it's a shared one.

But when you throw a word like that about, it does nothing but reduce the debate and draw battle lines. One of my previous posts was about how we're not two camps in this discussion and that it's not a war between the "Inners" and "Outers". We're a single fanbase desperately concerned about the state of our club. That's the only agenda at play here. Anyone who thinks in terms of having agenda or being in confrontational camps debases their fellow Spurs fans' support for the club. My genuine question to you would be: do you want to be that guy?

What's the problem with only going when you can afford it?
How is someone supposed to go to a game if they haven't got the money to?

*Edited to remove rudeness, due to misunderstanding of original post

Maybe have some consideration for people's circumstances.

Pretty much, yeah. In his first start, I believe he got MOTM, and then just disappeared. ?
I may have that wrong. Someone may correct me, but that’s how I remember it.
