Wow, just saw the squad at manure now - is terrible.

But is great for a Poch project.

Pep has lost it at Man City. They are struggling this season. Still I suppose a billion does not get you much these days. Pep is finished ...

Think it's fair to say that in a season when utd, Woolwich and Chelsea all looked like they might be off the pace, spurs decide to implode in true fashion same when Leicester won the league that year all the big boys took a year out we couldn't take advantage you have to laugh.

Arsenal and Chelsea( and Leicester and a few others) looking far more likely than us already. Man ure and ourselves in a battle for most' in crisis' club. Sort of wish we could play them at the moment but we are so bad , we are unlikely to take advantage. I see they are even looking like they might lose to Newcastle too.

They will also spend money the moment they are over their ban. It's depressing to think how much work our squad needs.
We have quality throughout midfield and attack and there was a time when experienced CBs in their early 30s were considered a positive attribute. There is immediate work to be done at right full-back and defensive midfield (to either replace Dier as first choice or back him up if he rediscovers his form after a run of games). But we didn't need an overhaul/rebuild when Poch said it and we don't now.

It can't keep being bad luck why we miss out on opportunities some of it is done to us as a club fucking up the chance when presented.

In the year when Leicester won the league no sod on here or anywhere else had us down for top four let winning the title, we weren't contenders so we certainly didn't implode.
On the bright side we are only five points off Man City, straws and all that.

True we wasn't expected to challenge for the title but when the chance came we couldn't manage it even though we were a top five team at the time, as for being five points behind city what does that matter where does anyone think we can claim five points we are struggling to get any.

You say that, but Toby and Jan will probably both go end of season. Rose, Vic look done. Eriksen obv off. So we will need a new RB, at least 1 if not 2 CBs, a DM, an AM and thats assuming we are happy to have Sess as starting LB. I would say that counts as serious work.

I think Jan wants to sign a new contract (and would be offered one under a new manager) and have an inkling that Toby would also stay if Poch didn't. Sess and Davies are fine, even if Rose is done (I don't believe he is).

Can we lock this thread please ?
Well I don’t , I personally think we will win every remaining game in every competition and win everything and finish it with being the heavyweight champions of the world, just my opinion

Certainly not in the title race. Despite having relegation form in 2019, I don't think we'll go down. But could see a 14th place or something like that if we don't make a change.

Agree with you. I think we also need a new GK also.
