First half especially was as bad as we’ve ever been. After midweek today was about a reaction and there was none from anybody until Winks came on at halftime. We then had a 15 minutes were we looked half interested and that was it till Moura came on and gave more effort in his (usual) 15 minute cameo than the starting 11 did all game.
It’s hard to advocate for Poch to be given more time after that display on the back of the Bayern and Colchester results.

You are forgetting the Villa game (apart from the last 12 mins, the whole Newcastle game, most the citeh and arsenal and leicester away games and large parts of the Southampton game, not forgetting the little trip to Greece.

Anyone can manage a team that are winning and full of confidence.
Any half decent player can look a £70m player in that team.
Picking motm is easy - you can make the case for any of them.

This was the week MP, with his great ambitions, should have earned his money, when the chips were down
This was the week those players who think they should be at Real/Barcelona should have shown their class.
And for us, this is the game that we have to pick out something positive from the ashes.
After all, scouts see total crap every week, but have the ability to see when a player shows a little extra amongst the chaos.

For me, Moura probably only had 4 touches but got 2 good strikes on target which was more than Harry I-m-leavng-this-summer Kane had all week. If this team performance was a protest about poor management, it seems to me Moura has more to complain about than most, after being dropped for the CL final. Yet he has not lost his focus and drive.
Disagree. Moura had two shots yeppy in a very poor team performance therefore he should still be annoyed for not playing in the CL final??? Because Harry Kane was not given any service or hand any attempt on goal. He is a central striker not a wing striker and I've read all sorts of complaints of Kane and comparisons to wingstrikers ie Mane Salah Sterling

Son and Moura are just inconsistant

Who in the ever loving fuck voted for Lloris. Are people here trolling. I mean , dude knew how important this match was and he is also our captain and then he goes and does that. It's lucky for him that he injured himself in the process cause he would have gotten a lot of stick otherwise.

Sorry, where’s all this coming from about H wanting to leave?

Lloris - I feel sorry for his injury but it was another horrendous error before he hurt himself

Sissoko - our best today, gives everything

Toby - lacking sharpness

Jan - not as guilty as v Bayern, but feels like best days of this CB partnership are behind us

Davies - does little for me (or team)

Dier - I was one of the ones calling for him to be back in today, but he was so poor and sloppy in passing, in first half particularly

Ndombele - clearly not fit

Lamela - have never been a fan, headless

Eriksen - still running, but failing with almost every critical pass

Son - not his day today, but still one of most likely

Kane - as per Son above

Subs:

Gazzaniga - neither goal his fault

Winks - despite defensive shortcomings, still a better option than Dier, it seems

Lucas - a threat, finally - deserves more starts

Normally the disappointment of a loss lessens after a good sleep, particularly when the team gives their all. The lack of effort/desire/giving a fuck is the opposite and is extremely concerning.

Lloris - Another howler.

Sissoko - 6 - Not bad is the best I can say.

Toby - 4 Soon he will be backing straight into our own goal.

Jan - 5.5 Better than Toby.

Davies - 2 He's so poor these days it's not even funny.

Dier - 2 Poor technique, passing and mobility nearing Huddlestone levels.

Ndombele - 4 Not having a good game but certainly better than a fair few others. We are 2 nil down and Poch incredibly takes off a creative player and let's Dier, who's been abysmal, stay on.

Lamela - 5

Eriksen - 1 - Useless again

Son - 3 - nothing worked for him

Kane - 4 - should've scored.

Subs:

Gazzaniga - cannot really be blamed for either goal.

Winks - become more dynamic in midfield but he had no help

Lucas - been our most consistent attacking threat all season but for some fucked up reason not getting starts anymore.

Poch - 0 - zero again for tactical ineptness, mindboggling subs and for not being able to motivate these shitbags to actually care.

My biggest disappointment is Harry Kane. I see him regularly get ratings unworthy of his performances. Great at taking his chances but doesn't do enough for me in the rest of the game. .
It doesn't get a lot of attention , but we have lost the beast-mode Kane of up to Jan 2019 ,so we aren't scoring . He stopped beast mode exactly at the start of our slump . We thought he might have just fitness/fatigue issues , but its looking more and more like its a permanent change .Tragic for us and Poch . I'm still dreaming of a beast return ,but am losing faith now .

Oh and I don't think I've seen a mistake as bad as Lloris's in the top division...ever . Beyond belief and then setting the tone for the match .Gazza does that just once and he'd never play for us again .It makes Karius look like superman .

Just WTF did Lloris think he was doing patting the innocuous cross into the forward's path . Completely unacceptable .

Lamela - 5 - ran a lot but was very bad with the ball, too many touches and slow of thought
Son - 6 - didn’t look like he was interested today.

Lamela - 2 Did absolutely nothing productive
Son - 3 - nothing worked for him

Son getting higher scores than Lamela is baffling.

Lamela “did nothing productive”, yet he created our only decent chances (for Kane and Lucas), other than the one where Son connected with air instead of the ball.

Yeah, I might've been too harsh on Lamela - I didn't remember he did that - will amend. At least he also pressed and gave a feck until the last minute unlike most of the others.

We need a replacement for Hugo.
We need a new right back.
Our centre backs are just starting to show their age.
We do not have a strong or consistent left back.
Our central midfield options are better this season but all are out of form/unfit/match fit/don't want to be here. Winks might be the only one who is the exception and he doesn't pull up any trees.
Son is hit and miss, Moura is better off the bench, Lamela works hard but I see very little substance from him whilst Kane is older and his style of play is not as dynamic as it once was.

A lot of the above is more reactionary to yesterdays result and you look at the squad and it is still a good one, but no player is in form which is a massive issue. The coach needs to motivate them and they are not motivated. Brighton ran 7.5km further than us yesterday. When did that change? We used to be the team that ran, pressed, harassed and countered.

Yesterday was such a disappointing result not just in terms of the score but the lack of tactics, the lack of application and the lack of any confidence or passion to win. The camera flashed to Poch a few times and I just saw someone who did not know how to change the game or demonatrate any passion/interest in the game. If the manager is not showing passion or any interest then how do the players? This is not just down to Poch, but ultimately the buck stops with him.

As others said it felt like a result from yesteryear. Most disappointing result I have witnessed under Poch - worse than midweek in my opinion.

Watford next who are dog dirt. If we cant beat them then we are in serious trouble and change is required.

Today he played the same game he did when Eriksen Son Delle etc were in their pomp providing the graft and craft. Compare his to the work-rates of other EPL strikers it just doesn't match up. He needs to offer more but the saddest thing of all he's shown little or no motivation and leadership through these recent poor performances.

The “biggest” disappointment? Jesus wept.

Love Sissoko’s effort, but every goal came from his wing. I know we’re a little short of options, but I don’t think he’s the answer here.

It’s hard to advocate for Poch to be given more time after that display on the back of the Bayern and Colchester results.

Hard to advocate him giving more time? Are you mad? So you’re judging him on a few results and not what he’s done over the past five years?

He gave us his loyalty by not moving to Madrid or Man U when he the opportunity and now at the first sign of trouble you wanna bin him? Seriously fuck fans like you.

We need these figures every match these days . Be fascinating to see how our running compares nowadays with our best seasons .

Given our current malaise they are the key issue imo . Everyone seems static . Midfield player in centre circle looks up to make a pass ,no fucker is running for him .Poor bugger has probably got to play it square .

Where are people digging up these running stats ?
