Classic lloris brilliant or ridiculous
Except that he almost never does that. He scares us dribbling the ball about and passing it back and forth, but the number of times he has done something like that for Spurs and it actually resulted in a chance or a goal is fewer than 5.

People tend to forget how it was when we had Heurelho Gomes in goal. That was "brilliant or ridiculous". Impossible saves nearly every week, but up to 10 soft goals every season. Lloris has conceded fewer than that in the whole time he's been here.

Lloris's save from the header I think from Yoshida was sensational. Even better than the free kick save.

And I have to say Ward Prowse's free kicks and corners are perhaps the best in the league. It's about the only thing that keeps him in the Southampton team imo.

Great character shown by the team today against 12 men. Don't know what it is with the officiating but it has been dreadful recently. Not excusing Aurier as he showed why Poch wants him out, but the 2nd yellow was soft. They pulled back our players and got away with it.

We then had the prick Dean not award a penalty when Kane was half rugby tackled by Lascelles. The fool Xhaka who made 7 or 8 fouls and only got a yellow card at the end, then Son's disallowed goal last week.

Whilst I agree it’s nothing compared to “butterfingers” Gomes, just because it’s only directly related to a goal a few times, doesn’t mean we should ignore all the times where his poor distribution and fucking about results in putting us under unnecessary pressure in our own half.

I was referring to his frequent mistakes. Rather than a specific type of error, thought that was obvious

Just home.... no it didn't take that long to get home, but had to make a detour on way home.. wow what a game today, the ref was bent.... awful - he made the performance from Riley at Burnley last season look brilliant, he was so poor.
The red card for Aurier (what an idiot by the way) the ball was out well i havent seen a replay but from where we was the ball looked out but the players stopped
The lads really did put effort in to see the game out, both harrys were superb, ndombele brilliant too, Sissoko was great at RB and Coco when he came on was great.
Son was poor, as for Eriksen - less said the better, he clearly doesnt want to be here and its showing in his performances, he was awful.

The biggest thing though was the atmosphere, we didnt stop singing in the south stand, really trying to lift the players to the 95th minute we sang and sang, i hope the atmosphere came over for those watching at home, i have pretty much lost my voice - best astmopshere i have seen at spurs for a long time.

This result was huge, we were all saying it as we left the ground, defeat toay would have hurt badly but the passion shown and holding on was immense and we really felt like this could be the result that turns our season - we celebrated at the end like we have won something but clearly we havent yet but dont mock this result, it was huge as southampton played well yet we held on with 10 for over an hour playing against a ref who was just terrible

Just arrived home from the game - I thought the ref had a mare, several really poor decisions giving fouls for good tackles, dished out cheap bookings for us and let them get away with some terrible fouls, I would like to see the build up to Aurier's second booking, the ball definitely looked out for a throw-in.

Thought Sissoko and Winks were excellent, Eriksen continues to amble around the pitch without much purpose, although did lay off the ball for Kane's goal (even that pass looked very similar contact to the crap shot he had just shortly before)
Pretty good from the rest of the team - we missed some good opportunities that may have gone in on another day,
Good resolve not to crack after Lloris's balls-up and Aurier's dismissal.

Personally I thought Hugo was very astute, he deliberately gave away a goal so we didn't go 2-0 up, you know what happens when we go 2-0 up!

even if the lino botched the call Aurier still fouled the guy.

Yes, but if it is a throw-in, all of the following hour would have been different - maybe Aurier does something else stupid, maybe not. Lloris may have made a mistake, maybe not, we may have won comfortably, maybe we could have lost.
