He is useless under pressure. How many times did he lose the ball under pressure in midfield today again? Probably close to 10 times. It's been like that for ages. He is so scared of any sort of challenge in order not to risk his dream move away due to injury that he just gives the ball up without a sliver of fight. He is still great when he is facing forward with time to pick a pass. However, that is not good enough.

Thank eff we had Ndombele on today who can not only hold on to the ball, but also shield/dribble away from pressure.
Son lost the ball under pressure today. Ndombele lost the ball under pressure today. Kane lost the ball. Rose lost the ball. Sissoko lost the ball. And so did Eriksen lose the ball.

It's almost as though we weren't showing for each other when in possession, and communicating on the pitch.

Which has been a problem since February.

No one does it at the frequency and easily as Eriksen has been. Yes, we are not playing at our best but what is your point?

Way to dismiss a pretty exact science that goes in to football statistics. Again, feel free to look it up. I suppose you also believe the earth is flat and that climate change is made up despite the scientific evidence - because what you feel is more accurate.....

He was dispossessed twice. While on the ball. Without it being during a dribble. He didn't lose the ball once while dribbling. His pass succes rate was roughly 82 so however you flip it, turn it, or take your context in to question he just didn't lose/give away the ball as much as you seen to believe. I am pretty sure you will now say 'yeah but that's what I saw' - so I have likely just wasted my time. So be it.

Haha "exact science".

Umm... I made it in my post?

Not really. You tried to excuse Eriksen by blaming all the players. No one loses the ball softer in our team than Eriksen. That is my point so I don't understand why you reply with "oh but every player loses possession".

How are those stats counted? Do you know? No, Every time today when he was under any sort of pressure he lost the ball. Maybe the stats counts some of those as 50/50 duels and not as lost possession, even though he clearly lost possession. Ever think of that?

Right back at you with the rubbish talk. Stats are completely useless without any context.
Surely he didn’t lose the ball 10 times! That’s Sunday league levels.

Erisken is also more often receiving the ball in tight spaces with players closing him down, for example compared to jan and Toby they may lose the fall far less but they have tons of time and space playing it out from the back.

Erisken is class simple as that, his head has gone and that’s a shame but he’s absolutely class, easily the most creative effective midfielder we have and have had for many years and just like modric was, he’s underrated and underappreciated and it’s only once he’s gone that people will realise the true impact of the loss.

I... really didn't. Maybe if you calmed down, removed the lazy Eriksen scapegoat agenda, and read my post properly, you would discern that I pointed out that all of the midfield and forward players give the ball away, and that the problem is down to lack of movement, communication, and initiative in our play.

This absolves no one, but implicates everyone. Almost as though it's a team game, and the team are not performing.

The result of his head not being quite right is that when he gives the ball away once or twice, that’s it for the rest of the game and his performance drops off massively.

He had a couple of good moments in the first half but gave it away a lot after the hour, although in fairness it might be down to the fact we were down to ten men and Poch should have identified his performance dropping and subbed him.

Improved yes but would still rather see Lamela, Lucas or Dele ahead of him for Tuesday at the moment.

Lolmao if anybody else had created that second goal people in here would have creamed their pants, but because it’s Eriksen no one even mentions it. Eriksen has reached the point where his bad performances now negates everything good he does.

This 1000%. Involved in both goals, directly in the 2nd. Still gets the worst rating of all.
Unbelievable really. All he does from now on is shit from people in here, disgusting.

OT: Really good to see him stepping up today. He was SO happy when we scored the 2nd goal. My gut was right he will be professional and honor his contract like every footballer should do.

Notwithstanding his contract situation, he's clearly a player whose confidence is at absolute rock bottom. Even the most simple things are very difficult at the moment.

He’s not underrated, far from it. I also think the impact of a not on form Eriksen is clearly visible to everyone so has given us an idea of the loss. Just because he’s been present doesn’t mean he’s been doing playing his role. A good pass against Southampton does not atone for a pretty piss poor 9months
