I just find it utterly weird and they are stealing the seats from people who actually want to be there. It’s very annoying.
Stealing seats, right! I am sure that their money is just as good as yours, and who knows, they may be more entitled to be there than you. If it annoys you that much, why not give up your seats and move?

My gripe in terms of current regulars at the ground is the several thousand tits in the middle of the east stand who are disappearing the second half time injury time is announced and don’t return until the 50th minute +. It’s fucking embarrassing. They should shut the gangways up to the seats the second the second half starts and not let anyone back up while the ball is in play.

That's not really his point though, is it. Why are they paying close to £1000 a season for the privelige of being there when they act as if they don't enjoy it?

How do you know that they are not enjoying it? It's their money and if they do not want to jump up and down shout to show that they are enjoying, its their prerogative. Its life move on

If we want the South stand to be our Kop, our Yellow Wall, then we have to question the people who go to that specific stand and have no interest in creating the atmosphere we want.

If I wanted to sit down and watch the game more casually, I wouldn't choose a seat in the South. Full stop.

It's cos the fuckers have to wait an age just to get served at the bar! And by the time they do get served, half time is over, so you need to down your pint! :ROFLMAO:

Why would it bother anybody if someone is late back in there seat at the start of the second half .
There is a multitude of reasons including waiting to be served waiting for the toilet waiting in the queue returning to there seats to name a few reasons for being late in your seat for the second half . For myself I have never noticed this phenomenon as I am watching the match myself and do not bother checking if others are seated at KO .
The clue is watch the match and not the other stands seating arrangements.

Ha that's where I sit. However I always make sure I'm back in my seat by the time kickoff starts. I think the issue is that people go down for the 'complimentary' drink and get a bit comfortable unaware that time is slipping by. There ought to be an announcement inside telling people the 2nd half is due to start, or something.

It bothers me because there are thousands of fans who would kill to be at our matches and who would bloody well make sure they took in every minute, but they can’t afford it/ don’t have the loyalty points/ live too far away/ many other reasons, and instead there’s a significant portion of the crowd who just don’t care enough, are just there for a larrff and to upload their day out to social media, which in turn hits the atmosphere, which makes the day less enjoyable for those of us who do give a shit.

I know I’m coming if as a sanctimonious prick (what’s new, eh?) and I know supporting a football club means different things to different people, but why on earth would W time spend a small fortunes on attending a match only to take in 90% of it. Would people also do that with the theatre, cinema, etc? No two matches are the same, each is a unique experience, so to regularly miss large portions of matches you’ve attended is just plain banal. It’s not like rewatching an episode of the Simpsons!

Scary we tried hard to buy him when he was at Villa.
Not really. He scored almost 50 goals in three seasons for a Villa side that were consistently bottom half, and he was only 24 when he left them for Liverpool.

He could've become an uber striker but completely lost his way.

I like him. In the flow of a move his passing can be sublime. When it goes wrong, its not generally poor judgement or timing...its because the optimum pass falls on his right foot. However if a left foot pass is on it can be brilliant. I like the way he is getting to the back post in breaks. His effort in tackling back is fantastic. I may have pink spectacles on - but has he reduced some of his silly/reckless tackles?

In terms of effort and sheer guts he is a role model.

To each their own mate. You might not like it, but that's the way it is. They have every right like anyone else to be there. At least they are adhering to the rules by sitting unlike quite a few others, (including you probably)

I thought Davies did well in his cameo role. Keeping up to the pace. Could be another underrated but very useful player in the squad.

My opinion on that matter is that the permission of safe standing cannot come soon enough.

Of course they have a right to be there if they've paid, nobody's saying otherwise. But if they are there to sit quietly and watch, they should realise that they would fit better in with the crowd in any of the other stands.

Not really, he was good back then.

He was good back then but Soldado and Janssen were good back somewhere sometime also. Being good back then isn't good enough for us, undeniably we have dodged one though we didn't the others.
