Talk about a game of two halves, where in the first half I saw the old Tottenham of a season or so ago that we all fell in love with.

A definite improvement of our goal difference with a clean sheet to add

Despite Son's brace, my MOTM is Lamela just for his industry including leading the press in the first half

Son MOTM.

Lloris 7 - Nothing to do.
Aurier 7.5 - Our best RB and should be first choice when all are fit.
Toby 8 - Great passing first half, some good defensive moments.
Verts 7.5 - An easy game for him today.
Rose 7 - Steady and handled Zaha pretty well throughout.
Sissoko - 7.5 - Great to see him moving the ball with more purpose first half. Second half he drooped two gears.
Winks 8 - Nice quick passing. I thought we slowed down after he went off.
Eriksen 7.5 - Wish he'd get his dead ball expertise back.
Lamela - 8 - Perpetual motion, good goal, tactical fouls, led the press.
Son - 8.5 - MOTM - 2 great goals. Looked sharp and hungry.
Kane - 7.5 - Some great passes and a brilliant assist but looked in 2nd gear most of the second half.

Ndombele - 7.5 - A couple of really nice feints to make space.
Davies - 7 - Neat and tidy in possession, aggressive in the tackle.
Moura - 7 - Looked dangerous when he came on and if not fouled would have been interested ot see what he did when he hit the area on that mazy run!

Poch - 7.5 - I don't agree with his starting line up much this season, but we came out firing today and looked unstoppable.

Difficult MOTM today. Son was electric first half. Jan was a rock all game. Kane was pressing and dropped deep to effect.. Winks was excellent. Aurier was very impressive, certainly first half. Rose benefited from us using both flanks, and did well Vs Zaha. Lamela was tenacious and scored. Sissoko actually played some great passes. But, I’d give it to Toby, I just thought he was ace today. How we will replace him? I have no idea, such a great defender, but add in his passes, so surprised Liverpool didn’t go for him in the summer, cos next to VvD, they would cope with anyone.

Son MOTM but excellent performances from Sissoko, the Belgians, Aurier & Lamela as well who all deserve shouts.

Yeah I think Alderweireld was excellent. He's normally one of the first players to pass back to Lloris or to dwell on the ball a bit and pass the ball along the defence in a laboured manner but there wasn't that today, he was a lot more urgent, quick with his distribution and his forward passing really was excellent. Was such a good performance and he's my MOTM also.

Winks worked his arse off, Alderweireld's passing from deep, Eriksen tops the tackles won, Lamela's industry, Son's goals, Aurier playing at the level we know he can.

So many positives to take from today.

Feckin buzzin'.

Went for Aurier, to come in from nowhere and give a performance like that, hopefully he can get a proper run in the team now and show some consistency, would be nice to see him win everyone over like Sissoko.

Winks was much better.
Aurier was the decent RB we have missed this season.
Son couldn't believe his luck against a slow defence.
The '0' was very encouraging, Jan and Toby dominating.
But I think Lamela was motm, as he was battling right to the end. and scored.

I gave Sonny MOTM, but I just thought Sissoko was incredible today. He was everywhere and not only making his trademark runs but also about ten crisp passes up the gut to midfielders in dangerous areas. Winks did the same.

It's almost as if Poch had a talk with them: "NO MORE SQUARE BALLS!"

It's tough to pick a MotM today. Obviously Son is in the mix for his two goals and threatening running throughout. Rose may be less noticed, because of his relatively conservative attacking play, but he kept Zaha under control for the entire match, which takes some doing. Alderweireld combined calm and authoritative defending with a succession of accurate raking passes (three of which Aurier failed to control, but the rest led to incisive attacks). Winks and Sissoko totally dominated the midfield and Eriksen and Lamela were everywhere, pressing and harrying and passing swiftly and precisely. Kane was the ultimate team-striker. Aurier is a high-risk player, but when he gets it right, goals and chances flow.

I think it should be Alderweireld in the end, just for the breadth of different skills on show.

Don't agree that his recent performances is a norm for him. He was frequently the instigator of our attacks at the start of Poch reign and this performance is probably him to reverting to type as he has always had the ability to pick a pass. Unfortunately, his contract situation plus injuries coupled with our poor play in past games has probably led him to be tentative with his play.

I don't mean that at all, I just mean you can see a contrast in his performance today and his of the last year or so in which our football has been very poor at times. It's not a personal attack either as it's a collective problem, but I think the centre backs probably saw most of the ball and it was easy to spot them struggling for options ahead, passing between themselves and back to Lloris a lot more than they should. Like I said though it's not personal though, it's no surprise that his performance goes up when the whole team very noticeably played with more intensity than we've seen for a while.

Definitely not talking about him as a whole.

The front 3 were incredible, more like it. Just too much pressing, movement, and creativity from Kane, son and lamela.
Palace couldn't cope

Everyone was on their top form first half

So hard to choose. A team of many parts today all working together seamlessly in the first half. What I did notice though is how Jan and Toby ran the show with the passing of Toby being key. With the lack of quality passing in midfield in our team Toby is so vital and today launched much of what we did. So it's Toby, only just, for me

Son is a credible candidate for MOTM but I didn't give it to him for the following reason, selfishness.

There were at least half a dozen occasions where Lamela, Kane and Eriksen were at much better positions to receive the ball to score, but Son ignored passing to them, as he seemed obsessed to get a hat trick. On another night that could be costly. Didnt like that

I think several deserve to have MOTM, but I gave it to Aurier for being such a threat with his assist and goal, among other things in the first half.
Second half we turned down the heat, but at least we didn't get complacent and were able to maintain a clean sheet.

You mustve watcjed the 1st half only. 2nd half he was back to his laboured best, but i guess the urgency was gone already as we needed to avoid injuries
