Not really twisting words but okay...

Just gotta wait and see really, I guess if Pep can successfully deploy an AMF with limited pace as a LB then I'm sure Foyth should be okay in that role. ;)

Yeah totally, it’s anyones guess, who knows?

As for Pep, I doubt he will stick with that same LB, he’ll go out and buy a specialist again. ?

Tbh, he always a joker in the squad, I think even more so than Bentley and BAE, who actually at least one is dashing while the other is cool Joe.

He probably thinks the options Poch has in RB are really limited and he's still the best, and frankly he is IMO because I really see KWP, Sanchez and Foyth are all not the players to play at that position. When results count against us, Poch will turn to him and play him sooner or later.

Until the January windows open, I will refrain from saying fuck off to him first.

Just to mention his fitness over the last 12 months has been poor. He’s rarely been available to play so can’t really argue that he should be first choice now regardless if he’s the best option. He’s got to prove to Poch he deserves to play.

I guess it all depends on his relationships with his team mates, recent words suggest that it might not be great but let’s not forget English is his second language.

Either way he should probably play now and see if we can sell next summer. At least it will force us to buy a proper right back in the summer as I suspect this season will show us once again that it’s a massive problem area for us. Probably the biggest positional weakness in our squad by a country mile now.

Got serious Kyle Walker vibes from him today. What a performance. Played well defensively when asked and was fantastic going forward. Be more than happy for him to stay if he keeps this up.

He ran out of steam, but he’s hardly played any real football. Good display, and showed what we’ve been missing... A lovely moment in the match where Rose hit a cross from inside their box, and it came over to Serge, also in their box. I have missed that from our fullbacks.

If he gets a good run of games, he’ll be better than Foyth. ?

Based on that huge run of games Foyth had to compare with . Happy with Aurier performance today but want to tread carefully getting carried away, he's had good games here and there and failed to show consistency or worse gets injured so keeping my excitement down currently. Great start and hopefully more to come, definitely the best performance of any fullback so far this season.

The Foyth quote was tongue in cheek mate.

He needs a run of games but played well today and im a fan of him.

The problem in the past is when he has played well, Poch rotates him and dont think that works with Aurier, he needs a a run of games and continuity but in my view the best RB at our club although KWP has played well this season

I still think Aurier is by far our best RB option but either he's constantly injured or not right behind the scenes because aside from a few rash challenges/mistakes in games in his early career for us, he's been absolutely fine and quite solid, positionally he's better than KWP, he's stronger and faster and can whip a ball in (like vs Dortmund), yet to see any of that from KWP.
No coincidence he comes back in and we play well. He’s a top top class full back, whoever wtf’d this can do one and has no clue about football.

I think either he has ongoing injury issues or off the field issues otherwise no reason why he shouldn’t be our first choice RB, he’s cut out the erratic errors since he first joined and now he’s easily our best RB.

That header he won to set us off for the 2nd goal, no chance kwp or Foyth ever win that header. He also basically scored our 3rd goal.

Anyway glad to see him back playing.

I was never particularly concerned when we sold Trippier as I always yhough Aurier was a better long termu. Surehis crossing isn't of the same high quality but he has shown quality in that respect on quite a few occasions (his delivery is far better than Rose's for example). Defensively Trippier was awful and Aurier just had poor moments, the few games he played to the latter end of last season did show promise in that regard. For me he's shown decent quality in attack and defence, if he can keep up this level of performance particularly his delivery which hasn't always been consistent and keep the brain darts to a minimum (what would Spurs do without a RB that randomly does One thing idiotic ?) then we have some strength in the RB position with KWP as a learning understudy.

Ok Serge is a little crazy, but how can we comment on a players ability for us when he has never had a run of games. What is his longest run in the team as starting RB, i actually have no clue, 5 games in a row?

He should most definitely be first choice, based on his pedigree at international level and at PSG and we should give him a shot. With Foyth as back up, still not sold at all on KWP but that's not to say i won't give him this season at least to see how he matures and how he fights for his place.

But a lot more positives to take today from the full back positions.
