I don’t

I don’t think an hour in a meeting is what will make a difference. I think it’s the 5 hours a day that he spends on tactical training on the training pitch, moulding our players into a team that is greater than the sum of its parts, that will make the difference. Except I don’t think he does that.

I concur. I doubt a one hour meeting will be the turning point, but I much rather Poch lays the law down and calls it. Shape up, focus, play like you give a shit...or feck you.

The frustrating thing about those 2 midfielders is they aren’t even needed against a team that is going to Park the bus for 90. If you really view them as “DM” just play one of them and play Lucas, Son, Eriksen and Lamela in front of them.

Jeez, so basically you have little faith he can replicate even a modicum of what Sissoko is currently offering to the table?

Skipp showed enough endeavour pre season to at least find some more meaningful gametime - especially in light of current injuries/Ndombele recovering.

Ahhh So you feel Sissoko is offering absolutely nothing, okay that's the root of it

I'm just happy to have football back.

I just want to see some good stuff because we've looked a bit turgid recently. The press has all but disappeared from our play style.

Play winks and eriksen in centre of park. They would've fully controlled the tempo and opened many doors for us in attack with their creativity. Sissoko is not needed for this game. Winks Eriksen Lucas Dele Son would've been my decision

Sissoko needs space to run into. Pointless playing him against a team that'll Park the bus.
Agree although I don’t think palace do park the bus as much as you all think, they have a lot of pace on the break and sissoko could be key to counter their counter as they have no pace at the back.

Have a feeling we may be ok and get our season back on track. 2-0 us.

We don't really have a player in the squad who's well-suited to that lone No. 6 role. We need a Fernandinho or Fabinho of our own, it's one of the biggest things we're missing IMO. With Lo Celso injured and Ndombele being eased in (hopefully with a view to starting against Olympiakos), we don't really have many good options without risking being overrun physically in midfield.

We can and should do this easily but would be nice if we put on a beautiful football display

Didn't say that.

My point was that Skipp can be a better alternative - especially in matches like this where undoubtedly we will boss possession but bluntly come up against an organised outfit where we seem incapable of moving the ball quicker.
