As my rating suggest - what the fuck is this supposed to mean, mate :ROFLMAO:
I don't get why you often seem - at least, this is how it comes across to me, even if you don't see it like this - more emotionally affected by the moods of fellow Spurs fans than you do about whether the team on the pitch have been good/bad/indifferent.

Sorry mate I don't get this integrating new players and transition period stuff, nearly every team has new players come August and of the three that we bought one has played two games, the other has come on as a substitute whilst the other one was injured when we bought him.
The core of the squad has been together for years so bringing in a couple here and there should not be to much of a problem, as for this transition nonsense this again gets rolled out every year so when do we become something more complete.
Today was an ok result but in all honesty being two up this team needs to manage games much better than we do and that includes both players and management, they have all been together long enough to stop having these issues occuring on an all too familiar basis.
That's ok - it's all about opinions!

Scat are you with the communist politburo? Freedom of thought is a wonderful thing

I know people try to defend Sissoko’s end product by saying that he’s not in the team for his attacking prowess and that it’s his athletic attributes and drive with the ball that helps the team. Whilst that’s true to some degree, if he is continually getting in advanced positions only to blast the ball into row Z, he’s wasting attacking opportunities that would be better suited for other players.

I early moan about referees on here because it feels like the last refuge of the embittered, but the ref today was atrocious. He gave them far too many free kicks that really were questionable

Have to say it was a highly disappointing performance today. Thought that we looked slow on the ball. Luckily the arsenal defence was as dodgy as ours.
Kane doesn't look sharp yet and Eriksen needs more minutes. Think poch's continued want of playing lamella ahead of moura bemuses me. Moura gives so much more both technically and physically.
Lloris saves were crucial today. Yes we had chances but papers over the cracks of a poor start to the season.
Sanchez not good enough either at RB or CB - rash in the challenge and poor on the ball.
We are clearly lacking 3 or 4 quality players to really challenge and disappointed that we never strengthened an aging and sparse defense.
Overall a point was a great result but need so much more from this team

2 points away to City and to Arsenal is better than last year, we were very much in that game and Arsenals front 3 are very very good, especially at home.

Surprised we didn't go back 3 and Sissoko at RWB tbh but Dier, KWP and Foyth will be back after the international break, Ndombele too. I agree with Poch, the season starts tomorrow...

I fully expect Eriksen to sign a new contract now and RM will rue not buying him this summer, as soon as he signs that deal his value triples and £150m+ is what it will take to get him after.

I don't see Eriksen leaving on a free, TA probably, JV will sign a year extension too imo

Hard to disagree unfortunately. Those moments can cost you titles. Love Sissoko but as he's soon 30, I imagine he'll be phased out by next year.

I'm much more concerned about our A grade players and how little influence they have shown in major games

He's been brilliant on punditry and is very complimentary about us
Agreed. Also, post discussion all four pundits thought we’d finish above Ar£&nsl come the end of the season. Sol was obviously sitting on the fence but he did think we would likely finish above them.

And, yes, Moutinho loves us.

It should be obvious mate. Because I spend a lot of time on this site - like others do - trying to affirm and reflect my enjoyment (or otherwise) of being a Spurs fan.

All the performances of the players on the pitch I can analyse rationally (after the fact) and can expectation-manage based on relevant data. This is, for example, why I didn't indulge in the ridiculous and unnecessary slagging off of Sissoko in his first season and why I repeatedly said he was improving in his second season. Thus I was gratified when he broke out in his third season. It was because I was able to see his performances; know his weaknesses; undertstand his strengths and see what Pochettino was trying to get from him. A lot of my faith in Sissoko had to do with Poch's faith in him (I ain't no football scout).

It's called "supporting". You understand where your team is at and expectation-manage to so that you aren't blaming players or coaches for unrealistic ambitions in a club where we can't (and shouldn't) OIL SLAVE our way to trophies.

Of course I am emotionally affected by the performances of the team on the pitch - why else by a fan? But I can rationalise them. I can look at stats and trends and relative wage spending wtc etc...

What I can't understand is "fans" who are so consistently unrealistic in their assessment; so relentlessly and aggressively hostile to players and coaches who have done nothing but move this club forward for YEARS. "Fans" who dismiss making a CL final as "lucky". Who dismiss years of improvement and somehow surpassing United; Arsenal and Chelsea because there's no shiny cup.

These people suck the joy out of football and this place. They moan rather than sing in the South stand. They think they are "driving standards" when actually all they are doing is making everything shitter for everyone else.

You find ME strange?

Dude, it pales compared to how strange I find those who think poisoned resentment is in any way a positive form of "support".

But thanks for expanding :p

Really liked the look of GLC, the little that we saw of him. Going to be a player for us.

That said, would've loved to have Ceballos on our side. We're missing a player like him in CM.
IV seen a lot of Celso over the last few seasons, and I really believe he will be an incredible signing for us, one of the best we have made in years. I wanted us to get him last summer. He has a crazy amount of potential. He needs time to learn the league and I also hope Poch doesn't over use his ability to play in many positions. He is very versatile, but his strength is creating. But, he has the Coco like engine on him and a better tackler. He will need to be given a start soon in order for him to get up to speed. Hopefully after the break when we have a few less intense games. Certainly something to feel excited by.
