LoCelso was the coolest man on the pitch when he came on.
Absolutely loved his cameo today. He did so much off & on ball in that 10 minutes. Could have scored the winner if Kane had seen him instead of backing into Socratis.

I’m deeply concerned with Poch’s selections, starting to think that for all the progression under him, he has reached his ceiling!

What did he say?
Redknapp was talking about Aubamayeng and how he might not like playing on the left of the front three, and compared it to Liverpool's front three who all like what they're doing. Mourinho explain that Arsenal's front three are different to Liverpool's and just because Aubamayeng is out wide on paper doesn't mean he has to stay there, and he gave a few example of different ways they can play that formation that results in him being central.

A point at City and Arsenal is 2 points gained from last season. Yes we lost to Newcastle but I think with a much more settled side after the window shuts and our injured players return we will start looking very good. I know we threw away a 2 goal lead but for some reason this match has given me a lot of confidence for the season ahead.

He made a great run but Kane wasn’t even thinking about squaring it at that time.

Good sign we might have another who actually wants to score some goals!

Like I've explained before, I think people need to adjust their expectations of him.

He had a very good game today.
My view is of several years of football. I have little expectation to be honest. And I don't know what is defined as a good game on here.

To me, he is sitting in front of the back 4, and our back 4 is still being peppered with chances. The midfield as a whole, were not working hard enough to stifle space. He is actually backing off KEn Doozi, as he crosses the winner.

Half glass empty : No away wins in PL since Jan & last 16 games 16 points

Half glass full : Apart from Newcastle loss, we have gained a point each at City & Arse from last season & we are keeping Eriksen & added LoCelso, Ndombele, Sess

What matters now is, how we push on

I should be used to it but, damn, the negativity in these threads just gets so wearying and depressing after a while.

This was a thrilling NLD. Both sides went at it hammer and tongs. Mistakes were made; momentum see-sawed; moments of individual brilliance; moments of diabolical decision-making - it had everything.

But most importantly it was a proper fight. And in the end we came away with a point. Two more than we got from the same fixture last year when Arsenal were worse than they are now.

But, still, these threads are full of fans slagging off players and manager. No credit for any fight shown - just criticism for any and every failing - real or just perceived.

It's really tough just to enjoy a great game of football these days. People everything to be perfect. Seem to take joy out of being the first one to find fault and express their disdain in the most contemptuous way possible.

Imagine being a player and looking at these Match threads (I imagine the Arsenal equivalent is just as bad) - both sides played a proper derby today. They should all be congratulated for that. Instead they are all being slated.

Football's getting harder and harder to enjoy. And the fans are becoming just as much part of the problem. No joy. No perspective. Just vitriol.

I have no idea what you are basing this on. Dier, foyth were 2nd string last year. We are tactically incohesive. We are slow going forward and disjointed at the back with no real middle to speak of. It's scary to watch us. There is no team out there I would say we are 100% sure to beat. I thought that last week and look what happened.
@Dinghy Look at our record this year. 9 wins 9 losses and 4 draws in the league in 2019. That's 31 pts out of 66. I don't care what anyone says - we are in trouble.

The weirdest thing about the Kane pen incident is that it was given as a free kick the other way, when Kane was on the floor Sokratis literally puts his hand into his back and shoved him down.

Seems like they are using VAR as an excuse to not give penalties to me, rather than judge the game more fairly.

Xhaka not getting carded earlier was nuts

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Awful, no other word for another shower of shit. So many on here spouting off like we're Burnley or something, getting a lucky, plucky draw!! Jeez, how we have fallen so quickly!!
Give it time - I know that we haven't been convincing for a while but we are looking at something of a transition with new players being integrated, players finding fitness and coming back from injury. If we are still not looking convincing by Xmas with, hopefully a full complement of players available then I will understand people's concerns but now is not the time to be losing it IMO. Pointless anyway, Poch isn't leaving or being sacked so we'll have to make the best of it.

One of the problems with this and the City game too many times we were under pressure
and gave the ball away to them in midfield

With the Newcastle Villa games we needed to be more effective on the front foot in opening the defences earlier

If Aurier is still at the club by the end of play tomorrow, then there’s our right back for the season surely?

GLC will hopefully be up to speed and ready to rock and roll when we return from the break.

Still concerned about the centre mid situation though. I hate the diamond and want the two with three ahead
I think Dier will probably have to play alongside Ndombele, which is a touch unfortunate. Why oh why did Wanyama have to get busted? Vic of two years ago would be a huge difference.

Phomsey if you are a neutral I understand that you would be right but it's hard to be totally objective as a fan. It's painful if you have any type of expectation
