I have no idea what you are basing this on. Dier, foyth were 2nd string last year. We are tactically incohesive. We are slow going forward and disjointed at the back with no real middle to speak of. It's scary to watch us. There is no team out there I would say we are 100% sure to beat. I thought that last week and look what happened.
Dier was injured most of last year.
Foyth is developing and had a very impressive Copa America.

I think you need to wait before throwing the towel in.

I was very worried last week. But Poch's talk and the performance today have gained some of that positivity back.

Remember we were supposed to lose 4-1 today.

Look at the reaction from the Arsenal fans. Gutted they didn't win.

Regarding Winks, You are seeing individual moments that look good. He is not controlling games at all, be it today, or against sides parking the bus. I honestly don't know what you are watching. No pressing, no risk taking, no passing range, just a few good interceptions and tackles, which is what you expect in that position.

I agree totally about Sanches. MAdness. and Moura, pace in the last 15 would have been an asset.

Like I've explained before, I think people need to adjust their expectations of him.

He had a very good game today.

Awful, no other word for another shower of shit. So many on here spouting off like we're Burnley or something, getting a lucky, plucky draw!! Jeez, how we have fallen so quickly!!

Short answer no, Sissoko is our best defensive midfielder

This has been my conclusion for a while now. Winks literally fills space, as if zonal marking and often ball watches rather than picking up players who are free and in dangerous positions. Once he's further up the pitch he comes alive. Sissoko has the strength to win the ball back and is generally pretty composed passing the ball out. I really like Winks, but he is not good at defending. He does tackle, but his general play is to occupy space and look for achievable passes, which is sometimes useful, but often times not enough. We desperately need Ndombele to do that role with Sissoko or else with Sissoko deeper and NDombele and Lo Celso in front of him, which is a set up I'd like to see us try. The subs today were a joke. Alli coming on in place of Lamela and playing in his least productive position (wide left) with Eriksen, the other Spurs player who virtually never tackles still on and Son going off was crazy, we basically made it easier for Arsenal to run at us, past us and through us for the rest of the game, with less threat on the counter. Poch needed to see that Sanchez was shattered and shore up the midfield. If we had shut up shop with Skipp in midfield to provide more cover and brought on Lucas for the counter we could have won imo.

Bittersweet point. I'm happy we've picked up points by hook or by crook away against 2 of the top 6 without a fully fit squad, however I can't help but feel deflated when surrendering a two goal lead in any game. It was so obvious they were going to score in first half injury time too, I have no idea why Poch wasn't shouting at them to keep their heads. 2-0 at half time would have been a completely different game.

I can't help but look back at the Newcastle game and think if we have another day like that against Palace we could seriously be in trouble. That's a huge game.

Agreed, we just need the goons to get an unexpected defeat to be back on level terms or just beat them at our place

He can kick the ball alright but his final ball/shot is usually crap

Sissoko is good at playing short simple first time balls
Sometimes you have to play like that
He’s also good at breaking up play when we’re under pressure like we were today and leading a charge upfield so that we can regroup
He did that today and was awarded a free kick which we desperately needed at the time
He did that consistently last season
He’s also good at covering weak defenders such as Sanchez today
What he isn’t good at is shooting and controlling the ball and we all know this as does Poch probably

I just wish people would get off his back and appreciate his good points
He gives 100% every game and never moans but gets on with it

I thought today was an error of judgement from Poch in playing Sanchez at RB in the first place
Mystifying

As was having Moura sitting on the bench when the game was crying out for him
He should have come on for Kane for the last 15 mins
Certainly not taken Sonny off and certainly not bringing Alli on who didn’t look fit

Huge managerial mistakes which cost us all 3 points

Ref had a really poor game too

92 mins before Xhaca got a yellow???

It is a glass half full or glass half empty scenario for me after that game.

The positive was that in the first half after the first 10 minutes or so we looked a lot better than recently. That did change once they scored just before the break in a manner that was preventable. After the break we looked bit clueless and tired and reverted back to our style of the first few games.

The negative for me was Poch's stubbornness with Sanchez. It was clear after the first 5 minutes that he was lost and Arsenal had a clear plan to attack down their left. It was another case of all of us on here being able to see as clear as day that Sanchez was going to have a torrid time all game and Poch either not seeing or pretending to not see it. It happens often and in a variety of situations that Poch is so rigid in his thinking that I wonder if he is doing it on purpose to try and prove some insane point that he is the boss.

Glass half empty and we looked clueless again at times in the second half and were lucky to get a point. Glass half full we got battered last season at the Emirates and if we go in 2-0 up at half time we win the game today.

Time for Sissoko & Rose to sit in the bench & watch.

Rose defending is so casual nowadays. Strikers are now drifting easily between him & left CB.
Davies doesnt do such basic mistakes. Time to go conservative. Bench Rose for Davies.

Sissoko - I applaud his contribution but this is 2nd big away game in a year he has been the reason we didnt win in the end. With Ndombele fit & Lo Celso getting his sharpness, Sissoko has to sit in the bench & wait for his chances

I would be too, having wiped the floor with the opposition.
I get the development and all that, but we surely have enough quality as it is to be at least competitive. We lost two very sloppy goals again and yet 90% of this squad have played together for YEARS. And they look as if they just met at times. The bad decision making, the selfishness is apparent.
I'm not throwing in the towel but I'm seriously worried. Premier league teams have had our number for a long time. Put men behind the ball and press and Spurs lose their shit. Everyone does it against us and we have no idea how to combat it because we play so narrowly.

Now is the time to get Davies in the first eleven ahead of Rose. We need more solidity on the left if we’re going to continue to have a creaking right side.

Hurts to lose a 2 goal lead but.... away from home, given the context/Danny Rose brain fart ..

We are where we are. Need to accept and adjust expectations I think. Poch has alluded to this. We are essentially in transition this and next season.

With the experience that the older Ajax boys bring I think we are good for T4 and going deep into the cups this season.

Miles off the top 2 but battling Arse, Chelsea and Manchester United for those coveted spots. People talk about Leicester, Wolves and Everton but come May we'll be far ahead of those teams.

Keep the faith x
