Not convinced he’ll rejuvenate us giving Poch’s obsession with overloading the box. We’ve been bereft for some time.

And this Jan bollocks hints at further trouble
I tend to agree that this looks massively like a team problem now.

I'm seeing complaints about Sanchez, KWP, Winks, Lamela. These are all good players, pretty sure our problems look collective at the moment. There's no pressing, poor defending and a lack of movement. None of this has anything to with Eriksen. You can look at Liverpool too, they don't play with a playmaker.

Having said that, unless he's being disruptive to the team in any manner, there is no way letting go of Eriksen can do us any good.

Daily mail tonight running a story saying CE is resigned to missing out on a move to Madrid this summer but still won’t sign a new contract here.

Has there been any indication from anywhere that he will be committed and play at his best if no move materialises in the next few days?

We either need to decide to play him every game OR we commit to leaving him out completely and find a new way of playing that doesn't rely on one creative player to dictate our play as we do currently.

I hsve the greatest respect for Poch but I think, if there is unrest in the squad, thrn he should be sorting it out. I don’t think leaving CE and JV out of the team helps one little bit. Also, his comments or hints through the summer about leaving if levy didn’t pull his finger out in the TW don’t exactly help the players.

It's a short term gamble, but you never know it might pay off this weekend.

Poch should call Eriksen into his office this week and bluff it by claiming that a RM team of scouts will be coming over to keep tabs on Cellabos in the NLD, and to see how he is likely to play, Poch can also add that Zidane will also be watching it on a live before Villarreal play RM.

Then Poch should go on to tell him that if he absolutely tears it up in the NLD by playing his best ever game in a Spurs shirt that puts Cellabos in the shade by a country mile and then some, that there is every chance they will be on the blower to Levy just before deadline day with an offer, but he must shine pretty dammed quickly in the NLD above everyone on that pitch.

The for that reason, Poch should pick him to start, and hope he starts even more quickly than he does against Man Utd at Wembley in Jan 2018.

It might work , it might not but it's worth a go, and if it does to the extent that we steamroller Arsenal on Sunday, that can't be a bad thing anytime. If RM don't come in anyway and he thinks he's played a blinder for nothing, hey ho.....

Have a look a what wages we are paying CE, compare that to the creative AMs of the other top 6 teams and there is your answer to why we have discontent in the squad. Lo-balling at every opportunity is the problem.

Nah, we've clearly been offering him new deals for a couple years. The guy has refused pay rises because he wants to leave.

There has been a contract on the table on offer now for over a year, been widely speculated it's fairly substantial, not sure we have low balled him at any time. This is just a lazy take.

Won't sign a contract? Push him out the squad, tell him to stay at home.

I know he's an important player with regards to creativity but if we can get Lo Celso, Ndombele up to speed it'll be fine.

If he's not committed he needs to be gone.

I think that’s been on the cards since Madrid have shown no interest at all

I don't think we can rule this one out yet. I have a feeling Madrid will make a really low offer at the weekend, leaving Levy with a really tough decision, and probably pulling Eriksen out of the NLD.

I don't think he's going anywhere, and Poche just thought Villa and Newcastle would be a piece of piss.

He was wrong of course. There are no piss easy games in the PL.

Sad but true. You're either in or you're out.

He’s been offered £200000 a week it’s not about the money for him now . He just mistakenly thinks he’s good enough to play for RM and they’re not interested in him.

Jason Cundy on Talksport .

He sums up exactly how I’m feeling at the moment about Poch and Spurs

I like the way he coaches players, he brings young players on, gets the best out of them and makes them better.
“But then you look back on their record over the last year, in all competitions they’ve lost 20 games over the last 12 months – that’s a horrendous record.
“You can’t do that, you can’t keep doing that.
“There’s something weird about Spurs at the moment. Something is definitely not right.”

If it’s truly better for the team and they’re causing unrest then Eriksen and Vertonghen should be ostracised. However when the number of players gets to say 4 or 5 then you don’t have much choice but to change the coach
