@Barrd10

It's the new rule though. If an attacking player touches the ball with his arm in an action leading up to a goal it will be disallowed. Intent or placement of the hands or arms are no longer taken into account. The same rule would have Llorentes goal against city disallowed if it had been in effect last season
Yes I know but it’s a rubbish rule. The people running football are ruining football. They are making results more random and the game less skilful.

Your totally missing the point.
People say and do things they don’t really mean which I have already admitted too.
Your like the boring sober mate at a party telling his mates the next day what embarrassing things they did when they were drunk

Mate it's you who is missing the point.

You are the slovenly very drunk and slightly racist Uncle at Xmas making weird homophobic comments and when someone calls you out starts bleating about "Political correctness" and "you can't say anything any more".

Calling your team "a bunch of fucking losers" is NOT cool under any circumstances. It's embarrassing and shit. Maybe you should stop being defensive about it and just stop doing it?

It's not hard.

I actually think it's the exact opposite of what you're saying. The random elements are being removed one by one to make sure that skill is what determines the outcome of games

Dondo: calling Spurs teams "fucking losers" since 19-dickety-dick.

Like I said - I don't know why you even support Spurs if that's how you feel.

Do you not even see the issue here? Even if the goal had have stood your comment was simply shit. heat of the moment or otherwise. Whether you've been supporting Spurs since Grandpa Simpson was a lad - calling your team "a bunch of fucking losers" is just a shit take.
You really need to let this go as you seem to be obsessing bout it a little more than is healthy. You've surely been on here long enough to know that a lot of things are said in the heat of the moment in game day threads.

I'm pretty certain that I've seen worse things said on here, but I accept that they are usually just throw away comments.

Not sure what you mean. Own goals are mistakes. The hand ball decisions recently are just wrong and not making football better.

You were talking about Intent. The rules are clear and the rule was applied.

If you can toe punt the ball at a player from 6 yards away to get a penalty then that’s not skill. The ball glancing of Laportes arm isn’t skilful but Jesus’s touch and finish was.

I'll take a point away at City and be thankful.
We absorbed, and out ourselves under a lot of pressure in that game which sometimes has to be done, we will see it the other way round at various points this season.
Shame Var us the talking point but it will be while it is still new.

Nah mate. Sorry I will not accept anyone calling the team - especially this Spurs team - a "bunch of fucking losers".

It's soft, shit, embarrassing, small time and unacceptable.

IMO.

We didn’t play badly. They played well. They’re the best side on the planet, but they couldn’t finish today and we defended with great intensity, finished with precision, found some mental strength and nicked a point.

We rode the run of the ball, unquestionably, but you have to be tough to keep that lot from scoring 4-5.
I personally think we've got a superb mentality that got us through today. This is evidenced time and time again by the amount of times we come back from goals down as well as getting so many important goals late on in matches. You very rarely see us get obliterated on the score line.

Our defending was pretty average and in attack we were very poor apart from one decent move for the first goal. They still had plenty of opportunities and really should have been out of sight.

I think we could have done much better today and caused them a lot more problems than we did, however there are still mitigating circumstances at this stage. New signings are not integrated, Eriksen situation is still up in the air, we're still not sure of our shape, and of course we were still without a couple of important players. I think that's what Poch was trying to get at in the interview.

We were unlucky to get this game so early in our season because of that. All things considered, a performance to quickly forget but a really solid result that could make things interesting later in the season.

It was an analogy - sorry was I not allowed to follow your lead on that?

You seem very determined to defend to the death your right to call Spurs fucking losers. Seems more important than just... you know... supporting them?

It's very odd. Don't understand it. sorry.

I don't think he meant own goals, he meant our own goals the goals from the penalties given against us.
Aplogies if I'm wrong but that's how I read it.

I don’t post in the match threads usually but just wanted to say crap performance, lovely result & fuck shitty with VAR in extra time ?????

Fkin incredible to have two similar results against them ****s!!

As for our performance I don’t think it’s Poch uncertainty just the usual start to season lack of gelling.

Some nice touches fom TN ??? not sure yet MoM....... COYS
Think that’s a biased view. If it weren’t for VAR we’ve blown it again in the last minute
Yep but VAR is part of the game help make correct decisions, it’s not like it’s here for one match only as a favour just for us.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We’ll VAR ourselves to the title.

(I may or may not be drunk)
Excuse me if this has already been said earlier in the thread, I read up to page 8 and then when I came back to my pooter we were on page 99.

With recent VAR decisions going in our favour against Citeh and looking at the way the game has been skewed in favour of Sky's favourites since the beginning of the the Premier League are we witnessing the beginning of the end of "the big teams getting all the decisions"? It feels that way to me.
