Cheers mate. Pretty up front. It's true - I can sense everyone wants to get to September and plough on with the season. Until then, Erikson, Rose and Toby will be a bit distracted (subconsciously at least)
Dont understand how we are in the situation where our 3best players are inntheir last year od contracts. There is no way we are getting full commitment from these players.

Poor old BP, Poor old Texaco, Poor old Halfords own brand.

Oh sorry I mean Man City. Oil/Man City...confusing!

Such a terrible thing to see an oil doped club have a goal correctly ruled out in this way.

No, we assume just Eriksen, but he might have already decided to go next year, which not great but will hopefully clear his mind and just focus now. We know that Toby will go for free next year and Rose isn't leaving.

And completely lost his man Jesus for the VAR goal
It's very hard for defenders to keep track of their man in those situations unless it's a near post flick on. The only way you can do it is if you just ignore the ball completely, and I don't think you want that either. I usually give the defender the benefit of the doubt on those occasions.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

My guess is that it’s related to Pochettino’s commitment to Spurs. I’m sure there’s other stuff too, but Pochettino has created (inadvertently or otherwise) an air of uncertainty around the future of the club.

He’s all about loyalty and fighting together as a team, but Pochettino has been equivocal in his discussions about the future.
Don't know about that. We had a dodgy first half last week but we were well on top by the end. We've got good players out and we're not blessed with a plethora of defensive options. Granted, the Vert situation is a bit strange but that aside, the team needs to improve as Poch just said and a little time and patience is needed.

Verts will give us full commitment as he wants to stay. Not sure whats happened there to be honest.

Oh I'm not perfect. In fact I'm a right ****.

But not so big a **** as to call our team a "bunch of fucking losers".

Not sure why you even support Spurs if that's how feel about them.

And to be honest if you insist on going around calling our team "fucking losers" I'd prefer you find another team to support. Just saying..

? ? ?
Probably been supporting this club x2 as long as you have been alive

39 passes completed for a CM doesnt seem good to me
It wasn't too bad. I made a comment in the match rating thread that I'd like to see him look for the ball more, but considering how bad we are building from the back and how good City are at pressing I'm not sure you could expect a whole lot more. Maybe in time he'll be more demanding.

Would really like to know what's going down behind the scenes. I think Poch's comments are probably related to Eriksen and Vertonghen's contracts?

In a game where we had 27% possession I think that is fairly decent. We had serious troubles with our play today but I thought he was by far our best midfielder today.
