I feel like the diamond might improve with the two dynamic number 8s. There's a nice balance with TN and GLC being right and left footed and it allows Alli to play close to Kane.

I think this signing has been unfairly buried under the hype surrounding us potentially signing Dybala...

Watch full game highlights of him (not just his goals/assists) and you’ll see just how spectacular this guy us. Comfortable on the ball, intelligent off it, hard working, versatile and a good finisher.

I would have absolutely loved Dybala, however I feel if Lo Celso had ring tattoos, a cool celebration and played for Juve, we’d all be creaming our pants over this guy.

Ok, I'm still a neophyte when it comes to judging players as I'm relatively new to the sport, so be gentle with me.

Went to watch a few videos. The things I noticed:

1 - Good pace. He's not the fastest player I've ever seen, but he finds space well and has the speed to get there.

2 - Really good at shifting the ball from foot to foot and shifting weight. Allows him to use a defender's closing speed against them.

3 - REALLY good at keeping his body between the ball and the defender. Causes a lot of fouls.

4 - Good vision, very good placement.

5 - Has a decent shot. Again, he doesnt possess herculean power, but can place the ball well.

6 - A little reckless and "cute" with his touches sometimes, but I am thinking that as he gets a little more mature that will go away.

I like what I see from him. A lot.

That team looks very good. Assuming Lo Celso will not feature on Saturday (other than to wave at the fans at half time in a natty suit), Ndombele is still not 100% match fit, Dele is injured and Son suspended, we might have to wait a little while to see that team in action. Lamela and Moura are certs to start against Villa IMO as they have both been razor sharp in pre-season.

Really believe this is a fantastic signing. Easy to underestimate amidst the hype and ultimate disappointment of not signing Dybala but to me this is much more of a Spurs signing. Someone with huge upside who has the potential to become a star in our team and who should fit perfectly into our system. Can’t wait to see him and N’Dombele in tandem
