According to a Sporting fan on redcafe BF carried the whole team this season. He said he'd never seem a player more influential in a league season for Sporting.
He did add the caveat that he wasn't sure if it was because BF was that good, or because the league was that bad, which he said was getting worse year on year in comparison to the stronger leagues.
He also mentioned he's a busy ****, with a huge heart, and an immense engine.
I personally want him, eventhough i can honestly say I've never seen him play a game.

Levy playing who blinks first with Betis, first with Dybala now with Bruno, I cant see us buying both and Lo Celso is top the list now. Levy is canny, he'll probably save us 15m but he drives me mad at times.

Or dick about signing neither, then sell Eriksen after our window shuts...

Seems like this is just a way to get the GLC price down to be honest.
Could be. But why send delegates to Portugal? Bit of an expensive way to get a deal done. Although I guess you could say if it knocks 20m of the transfer for Lo Celso it works out cheaper.

Dont understand why they cant stay sat around the table pushing notes of paper between them with improved bids until they settle on something they both like.

I don't know what anyone else's experiences are like, but I have never experience even the simplest decision being made in a singular meeting by anyone at a finance level.

There'll be a meeting about planning a meeting.
A meeting to plan where the next meeting will be.
A meeting to plan why the need a meeting.
A meeting to plan the agenda.
A meeting to talk about the potential decisions.
A meeting to talk about the minutes from that meeting.
A meeting about potential decisions
etc.

Can't ask a project manager how they are without them setting up a conference call to discuss it.

I'm not believing that. I want both, so I'll choose to believe my own narrative. Thanks for the info though

Yeh I’m not believing that either. They are totally different players. Bruno seems more competition for Dele in an advanced role. He’s a goal threat and works his ass off which Poch will love.

Lo Celso is more of a midfielder, inventive passer and strong dribbler/transition of play.

Can’t see why it would be one or the other. If we only get one I hope it’s Lo Celso but at this point, and given how badly missed Dele’s goal threat was missed last year, I’d be happy with Bruno too.

We need 2 players to replace Eriksen, if he goes. Otherwise it's just a side step, if not a back step for us.
So hopefully it's 2 players in or CE stays plus 1 in.

Sadly, the only strategy some fans have is to pay what the asking price is (no matter how ludicrous), get us into debt, then they can complain that's Levy's fault.
Nah, fans are just smart enough to see clubs smaller than us spend substantially more money than us in transfers and wages year after year without falling into debt.

Somewhere over the years people on here have been brainwashed to believe any substantial investment into player acquisition is going to lead to us “doing a Leeds”. It’s such a fallacy
