Sponsor income is now comparable with the rest but our deal with Nike looks terrible in comparison
It seemed the club needed income fast so accepted a low ball deal with Nike
Eight years seems a bit long. Anyone know the typical length for these type of deals?
Agreed, It also reminds me that Arsenal Is Arseholes.I actually don’t mind the red ??
Last one was 5 years for us 2014-2019.
Goons are on a 5 year deal with Emirates on £40m also until 2024, so they won't be picking up ground on us for 5 years at least. That may even be inclusive of the naming rights.
What was the old deal per year?
For what?
Yeah, I've got used to it now and it's kinda grown on me.I actually don’t mind the red ??
Seen a few mock ups with the logo changed to blue and it looks boring afI actually don’t mind the red ??
Actually, I bet we don’t get a naming rights deal. With every game that’s announced at the “Tottenham Hotspur Stadium” we get free publicity all across the globe, and that’s only going to be more valuable when we’re hosting NFL. Imagine the value of the name dropping across the USA, especially when people get to see our beautiful new home.Naming rights next would be nice.
Adidas and Emirates deal gives them 30m more than our deal with Nike and AIA. Main diff is Adidas are paying them double what Nike are paying us. Nike got an excellent deal. Levy for once had to be the recipient
there was plenty of itk at the time that our nike deal was right up there with chelsea (60m) provided we qualified for the cl and similar clausesAdidas and Emirates deal gives them 30m more than our deal with Nike and AIA. That is based primarily on volume of shirts sold, it's also a headline figure, they're unlikely 'ot be reaching that figure any time soonAdidas and Emirates deal gives them 30m more than our deal with Nike and AIA. The value of the Nike deal has weirdly never actually been announced when it was extended. Everyone just assumed it was £30m. I’d also be amazed if there aren’t CL conditions attached to both deals. But what Levy has intimated is we keep a far larger % of actual shirts sold. So the difference to Arsenal Adidas deal maybe nowhere near as big as seems apparent. But the shirt sponsor deal is based much more on TV exposure than sales so therefore we can compete. But the fact is Liverpool United Arsenal and Chelsea currently sell way more shirts than we do. But that can all change very quickly with on field success.
