    Memories very similar to what previous posters have said. But it was also AVB's choice of Gylfi Sigurdsson over VDV. Yes Gylfi was younger & seemingly more durable yet VDV had that X factor that few possess. To discard him so unceremoniously was quite surprising to me.

    Just make one deal conditional on the other. IE: Quietly negotiate & agree terms for Kane BUT it is conditional on Spurs getting one or both CB's. Once the CB's are confirmed, then Kane's contract is fulfilled. Both deals done simultaneously.

    I just don't like collars on kits any more. May as well put a tie on it while they're at it. And FWIW, they've taken the retro look too literally as it looks heavy & doesn't appear to be very form fitting either. Goes against the current light-weight, moisture wicking, aerodynamic tops of today.
