    Mate, if Levy overruled Conte and signed Spence, do you really think that he wouldn't have overriden the club man that Poch was? Or do you think that the far more logical reason was that the club was stretched financially with the stadium, and he lied when he said it wouldn't effect transfers.

    In all fairness I was doing the washing up and listening to TFC, and one of them was saying that VDV was the best defender in the world. I love VDV. I think he's a Rolls Royce of a defender. But he's not the best in the world.

    Yeah, all the money will be funnelled into the team. Just like when Levy repeatedly said that then"stadium costs will not effect our transfer spending". And then we didn't sign a single player for a year.

    I keep hearing conflict reports on whether it is Mason or Jedinak doing defensive set pieces. I do know that Jedinak just gave an interview where he detailed how to set up for defensive set pieces. Which kind of feels like Richard Hammond presenting a driving safety course.

    Cant agree with the squad building part of that comment. CL gives you a lot more money and some players care about playing in it enough that it does effect their choice of transfer.

    VDV is too crucial in chasing down through balls and long balls. If he's playing on the left and tucking into midfield, he won't be there to chase down those attacks.
