I saw Ted Ditchburn play a couple of times for us in our Reserves/ Combination side around 1959, the season I became a lifelong Spurs supporter. A great keeper, brave and much loved. yes, the 1951 team deserves better recognition for their "push and run" style that changed football in England.
There's quite a few to chose from in the "worst Good Player" category. Anyone else remember Alan Brazil? Great striker for Ipswich but just didn't fire for us. Also Ralph Coates. Lovely person but wasn't able to replicate his from with Burnley and England when he joined us. Shame as he really...
Very sad to hear this. A quality player and not really old. Played alongside Pat Jennings, Cyril Knowles and Mike England in a very good teqm that never realised its full potential. Famous for engaging in a bit of biffo with Brian Kidd when both got sent off in aan FA cup tie at WHL.

Jimmy v Man Utd Oct 65
Glenn Hoddle's volleyed goal re Man Utd
Mark Falco's brilliant volley re...
Terrible news. A great keeper and really gave our defence huge confidence when we signed him from Liverpool. he made some quite stunning saves for us . RIP Ray, you were a true legend. A very sad day.
unfortunately, I am of the age where I can say I have seen both play. Fortunately, I am also able to say I'm privileged to have seen both in action.
Bit of a silly poll in the sense it's like comparing apples and oranges. both geniuses but Jimmy was just incredible and could conjure goals out...
