There are plenty of times where he has played well and people say how important he is. My point is that he will play well some weeks and others not so well, so to say Ange’s system requires Johnson type wingers after a week where he wasn’t great is knee jerk.
I do like Gio but unless he breaks into the team and has an outstanding end of season, I can’t see him signing a new contract. He would be mad to sign a new one whilst being a squad player. As everyone has said, we can’t let him leave for free so it is probably best if we sell in the summer...
We seem to have knee jerk reactions to every game. Yes, Kulu didn’t play great yesterday and the game probably did suit a more direct traditional winger.
However, there have been plenty of games where Kulu has been the better option on the right, and his hold up play and intelligent use of ball...
Considering is City v Liverpool and the Klopp & Guardiola love in I am surprised they’d showed the full match. They couldn’t wait to switch to the build up
Was at the game but just seen the highlights. Didn’t appreciate just how good the move was for Johnson’s goal. Definitely one of our goals of the season. Personally prefer a flowing team move over a screamer.
Very happy he scored, and fair play to Ange as I don’t see Kulu being at the back post to score that. Nevertheless, I still think it was the wrong decision to bring Johnson on for Kulu at that point in time. He had just created the chance for Sarr and was having a growing influence on the match...
Richarlison can only really score one touch finishes. I don’t feel at all confident when he is played through and nor do I see him hitting any long rangers.
The main problem with him is that whilst he can be good, his bad days are so bad that he literally offers nothing when he is having one...
Clearly better in the second half but still thought he was pretty good at nicking the ball on few occasions in first half. Showed his quality when needed in second half.
