So simple, so effective.
Would love to hear Jon moss in a similar conversation.
Need a universal term for ‘kick point’ though. Come on America…

i'd be amazed if the useless potato-headed clown even knew how to speak, let alone have a conversation. he's clearly been taught that every time there's a decision to be made involving a player in a red shirt allow it, otherwise deny it, much like you could train a monkey to do.

I hate VAR!!!!! I hate everything about it and I hate what it’s done to the game!!

There, I’ve said it.
Cannot agree more. I feel the same.

I hoped VAR would simply eliminate all the obviously bad decisions that are made (which it probably does). However, as Jose noted the VAR team suddenly became the referee and we now seem to have two referees both with their own subjective viewpoints which has led to increased investigations of less obvious incidents and subsequently more controversial decisions than previously. I fell for the 'clear and obvious' mantra only to find 'clear and obvious' is more subjective than I thought. And don't get me started on the objective offside decisions that are objective using a very flawed system that can't really show the exact frame the ball leaves the boot yet coordinates it with lines differentiating players in a blurry later frame.

I have no doubt that I have never been as annoyed by refereeing decisions as I was this season. Historically we have had some truly terrible decisions against us, but this season just seemed to produce a whole bundle of weirdly subjective and inconsistent decisions that really blighted the games.

I know some decisions went our way but for me and my Spurs memories they don't make up for the ridiculousness that was...

Moura being fouled at Sheffield United, the ball being smashed against him and a great Kane strike being disallowed because of a handball that I could not see after the 10th slow-mo.

Aurier beautifully ending a move by smashing the ball into the Leicester net only to find that Son's armpit was possibly offside a few seconds earlier.

Son being sent off against Everton but not for the actual foul, but because of the injury the player sustains in a collision with another player.

Bournemouth's King literally jumping on Kane as he goes to head the ball in the box.

Newcastle's Lascelles falling over while chasing Kane and sweeping Kane off his feet as he goes down headfirst in the box.

Another good VAR breakdown. Once again, it's not VAR that sucks, it's how it's being applied in the Premier League...

I think Sky and the premier league have to stop.ramming it down our throats its the best league in the world. I've got two texts off Italians laughing at the joke decisions. Every time the offside lines and VAR comes on they start singing CSI Miami theme tune for forensic analysis

Just text them back the word Calciopoli and they'll turn their phones off, thank me later.

Rarely been so angry but it’s not a VAR fault it’s the disgraceful referees and new handball rules

ref for the original free kick decision

New laws for the shocking lack of any common sense or in game knowledge

Why do they only give The ref one angle on the Dier penalty incident. Also surely Lascelles was offside as he interferes with Dier trying to head the ball?

Someone should commission a programme that shows all the great goals and moments in football history and pauses each one and uses VAR to disallow the goals because of offside armpits or accidental brushing of ball past sleeve. Just to show how bad VAR is for football.

Again I don't think it's down to VAR, but the handball law. I still think the idea of VAR has been needed for so long. It just isn't applied in the way it should be.

Correct - its the implementaiton of VAR that is at fault. The people who set teh laws and decide how they are officiated are clueless.

The best thing about VAR is that it has almost eradicated diving. That is now rare, but when it does happen (see Bruno Fernandes) they should use VAR to make sure it gets punished with a yellow..

I still believe it should be used to decide goal kicks and corners as well. With some amendments it can work very well. The idea is great. The execution not so much.

Correct..it is a free kick...to us

I’m still angry about so many of those calls today. Especially some of our shouts that were completely glossed over. We definitely got robbed, but I think people are barking up the wrong tree on this one. Hojbjerg just fixes his eyes straight on him and leans his shoulder into him a little bit. Even though their player played for it a bit, those are called more often than not.
