It’s the midfield. Absolutely no control, no possession, no body to link the lines.
This formation just doesn’t work.
As for Winks still playing the DCM after the Hojbjerg signing. Unbelievable

It's this interchanging between him and winks that is causing problems. Just play Hojbjerg as the destroyer and let the other 2 CM's play

Spurs, for the most part, are looking every bit as average as they really are. I think it's looking like a mountain to climb for JM, he must be wondering where the quality is?

Before the 'it's on the manager to get them playing' comments, I think he is trying, but they are obviously not capable of what he wants.

Although I do question what he is trying to achieve in the CM area? 3 CMs and still not controlling it. Hojbjerg, early days, but looks extremely average, Winks has fallen off a cliff development wise and looks, well, extremely average. What other options are there?

A red card for Saints would be our best chance here. I have no doubt Mourinho will tell the boys to try get em sent off.

No one showing no one moving.

No want wanting the ball.

Just jogging around

Big problems not solved by one or two players however good.

Jenas is right, the body language of our players is not good, heads down, flailing arms about, beaten already ffs.

This is mind numbing. I might watch lego marvel cartoons with my 3 year old.

Both their CMs on yellows now. A red is the only way we will get something from this game based on how it looks now.

tanguy offering lovely balls into feet at the edge of the box but when southampton got it back he only trundled back to defend.

inspiration not perspiration

Jenas is spot on!! We have a huge problem! Even these players aren’t playing for Jose or what ever Jose is doing and telling them to do is just not working.

Jenas may be correct in some regards but he has such a vendetta against Mourinho, gets a bit tiresome to listen to.

We look scared to press and would rather retreat then challenge for the ball

This is the manager's fault. Mourinho has lost them from a tactics perspective. Totally clueless.

When does the penny hit with Jose & realise his methods don’t work anymore ?

Never. He will never accept it.

We are playing long ball FFS. This is one of the worst Spurs teams I’ve ever seen.

I hate watching this side. Southampton are so much better than is

We could have Messi, best and pele in the team, while we are this passive we will be consistently shit.

Can anybody seriously still argue that mourinho will we win silverware?

Its shockingly poor and has been since he took over. The players don't know what they're doing.
