Hasn't impressed me for a few years, constant sulking, more about himself / image than the greater good. If we can get around 35/40m and re-invest that, i'd be all over it. Can only play in a front 2 and who really plays that anymore, complete luxury player for me.

I really don’t want us to sell him, but I have to admit that I’ve have been expecting him to return to his old form for months now.

I don’t even think, if he was sold, that a top 6 team would be in for him.
Wouldn’t even say he is inconsistent. He is consistently poor.

Might recapture some form at somewhere like West Ham or Palace

Dele is such a class act. Offers so much more than Lucas but JM often has problems with top class players who don’t easily fit into the norm. On the other hand perhaps Dele is being held back to make him hungry ... we will see if JM gets it right

Should be a kick up the ass to be omitted from the squad. If it isn't he won't turn it around anyway because it will show the weakness of his character....

If a transfer is close then that would explain him being left out today.

The encouraging thing if it is PSG in for him you’d hope DL will wangle a ridiculous fee from them

There’s probably only 2 teams who can afford what we probably want, that’s City and PSG

I agree. As much as it would hurt to sell him, I think if we got an offer of around 50 million and reinvested it in, say, Ruben Dias, it would be better for the squad as a whole.

Thing is, who is going to offer that for Dele at the moment, and where would he actually go? Think it's more likely he gets temporarily frozen out and then either reintegrated into the squad over the course of the season, or we sell him in Jan/next summer. Hard to see Levy selling one of his golden boys so quickly.
He could go on loan to free up wages but he’s also home grown so that would be an issue

But Dele needs to play centrally to get the best out of him.
Comparing him with Lucas is pointless.

Would be a real shame if he moved on, big part of some really good times over the last few years. Has stagnated recently however.

Can’t help but a move might be good for him though, reignite his career, as gutted as I would be!
