Here are some blasts from the past:

This guy just decided to retire it seems, after he failed his trial with us. Remember him and Edson Silva testing themselves with us.
Scored loads between them. .didn't they ha ha????

So draw is at noon today for the Play Off Round. 13 possible opponents, and 2 days after possibly meeting Chelsea, and 3 days before Man Utd.
These are the teams we could draw (they all like us still have to win one round against a lesser opponent first though)

Steaua Bucharest (Romania)
Granada (Spain)
AC Milan (Italy)
AEK Athens (Greece)
Rangers (Scotland)
LASK Linz (Austria)
Hapoel Be'er Sheva (Israel)
Rosenborg (Norway)
Apollon Limassol (Cyprus)
Rostov (Russia)
Reims (France)
Rijeka (Croatia)
CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria)

Not sure if your list is updated one...From what I understand from UEFA website, Group 1 to 3 seeded go against Group 1 to 3 unseeded. But we are in Group 4, where group 4 seeded goes against Group 4 unseeded.

By this, I believe our potential opponents are

Rostov (RUS) or Maccabi Haifa (ISR),
Willem II (NED) or Rangers(SCO),
Fehervar (HUN) or Reims (FRA),
FCSB (Rou) or Slovan Liberec (CZE)

Feels like it was easier to get to the CL final than reaching the EL group stage.

Ffs why did Chelsea choke in the Fa Cup final?

Its not difficult . Its the fixture list and travel that makes this worse.

I have no idea how we are going to play Leyton Orient on Tuesday night and travel to North Macedonia and play on Thursday evening.
We got to probably split the groups. Same again next week when we play Chelsea

Group 4
Seeded

1 Galatasaray (TUR) / Hajduk Split (CRO)
2 Shkëndija (MKD) / Tottenham (ENG)
3 Standard Liège (BEL) / Vojvodina (SRB)
4 APOEL (CYP) / Zrinjski (BIH)

Unseeded
5 Rostov (RUS) / Maccabi Haifa (ISR)
6 Willem II (NED) / Rangers (SCO)
7 Fehérvár (HUN) / Reims (FRA)
8 FCSB (ROU) / Slovan Liberec (CZE)

Avoiding Milan is certainly the big one. Let's not draw Rostov/Haifa away, any other draw is alright by me.

When we play Chelsea? I'm not convinced we'll put out a team with the aim of beating Orient tbh.

The strangeness of europa and the amount of games we’re playing is actually a little bit exciting. I hope it’s the kick up the arse our pampered players need.

That said...if we end up playing Rangers...Defoe will definitely score against our pap defence lol

At least having Reguilon and Bale will be a big help for this run of games. We can probably split the squad 70/30 in favour of the Europa tie but we definitely can't afford to put out all the youngsters against Orient.

Considering Bale's likely fitness, something like this imo:

Orient squad:

Hart, Whiteman, Foyth, CCV, Tanganga, Sessegnon, Sissoko, Gedson, White, Clarke, Lamela, Bale + youngsters

Hart
Aurier -- Tanganga -- CCV -- Sessegnon
Sissoko -- White
Gedson --- Lamela --- Clarke
Bale
EL squad:

Lloris, Gazzaniga, Doherty, Sanchez, Dier, Toby, Davies, Reguilon?, Hojbjerg, GLC, Winks, Ndombele, Lucas, Alli, Son, Bergwijn, Kane

Thankfully, the massive squad we have at this moment comes at a really good time, we can leave all those Orient squad players at home when we travel to North Macedonia and still have a very strong team in the EL.

Agree in general.
If & when we play Chelsea, we cant afford to play young players or B team - we got to go for them with our best XI. At same time, got to travel with same squad for final qualifying.
