It is slightly concerning that we've spent about 3m net and we're now out of cash, I think you'd struggle to find any club in the division that couldn't stump up 5m for a player

Apart from the other 17 or so right now? This particular retort is getting boring now, too.

Also, ITK have said that it's about moving players out, not a cashflow issue.

Fair enough.

But a lot of people do believe that Levy thinks like an accountant. He doesn’t. He thinks like an investor. Which is a very different thing.

Does he?

investors take risk when there is a reward to be had

If Levy really thought like an investor he would have taken risk and strengthened when we were on an upward curve

as an accountant he was too busy managing net spend

Not sure that talk about the fee is boring... rather it’s irrelevant. Whatever commodity you are looking to sell, if it’s older than when you bought it, worse than you anticipated and public record you want to sell it, recouping the purchase price is next to impossible. Even more so post-Covid...

The key ITK info is the 42 million DL wants to recoup, clearly willing to take a hit but only a relatively small one. Personally I hope there is a bit more flexibility if someone is prepared to take a punt at say 35 mil, I hope we can get him off the wage bill rather than watch him steadily depreciate whilst he doesn’t play.

No, you’re trying to suggest that a poor investor or an ultra-cautious one is an accountant. But they are totally different things and one thing Levy definitely is not, is an accountant.

You have no basis to suppose it was net spend driving his decisions. You’re looking at the effect and assuming it was the cause.

Net spend is a small-ish element of the risk the owners of THFC take anyway.

I, like many people, wish he’d have spent more and better on players. But the fact that he didn’t doesn’t make him an accountant!

Was at the ground today doing the tour and suddenly they started bringing in loads of equipment into the press conference room I was chatting to one of the tech guys who confirmed a press conference later....to promote the Amazon doc... my solitary moment of thinking I was getting a New signing scoop ( albeit I knew deep down that would be at the training ground ) was snatched away

I noticed a new itk thread tried to get in succeeded yay! I made the cut?.
Reading through Dragon's itk what I take from that is that we may well be sitting here in a month's time with nothing having happened. If everything depends on something else things are unlikely to get moving until late on.

Now it’s out happy to confirm the right back is Doherty

he is the only wolves player we are after

those doubting the chances of this do not dismiss the Portuguese influence here and agents involved

then

I have no idea where he got the number from , Alistair has good contacts at the club though my suspicion is they leaked that number to get the price down

we were quoted 35 last week , I can tell you we are struggling to get Milan even to 18-20 right now on aurrier and that needs to happen first , but the boy would like to come and wolves are obviously looking for a replacement

then

Doherty is first choice

But what he is can be found in the word "accountant"

£35m for Doherty lol. He’s not £15m+ better than the alternative RB’s ITK’s have linked us with.

Well there's no way we're paying over £30m for him - gotta say when Herc said we couldn't even afford players at £30m, I didn't think he meant bloody Matt Doherty :ROFLMAO:

The key point here is Jorge Mendes, his involvement in Wolves and his connections to Jose. That’s maybe how this deal gets done.

20 million with add ons, something like that. Maybe one of those creative deals with lots of add ons/performance related etc
