We had also taken 24 points from the last 25 games which is relegation form and 2/3 of a season.
Wasn't that 28 points from the last 25? and why choose the last 25 games spanning two seasons? why not 30 games or 35 or even take it to 38 games to make it a full season?
Is that because if we take it to that last 30 games we get an extra 12 points as we won 4/5 of those games and that doesn't fit the agenda.
Or if we take it to 35 games it's another 12 points from 15? So that's 24 points out of a possible 30
Or 6 from 9 if we take it to 38. So that's 31 points from a possible 39 that are conveniently ignored.
On top of which we were on an amazing run to the Champions League Final for the first time in our History.
Why don't we look at things in context.
The season before this we dropped off really bad in the league but got to the Champions league final and despite our drop off still finished in the top 4.
This season when Poch was sacked despite our poor start we were only 3 points from 5th place. At no point have we been at risk of relegation and claiming so by randomly picking a patch of results is just agenda driven. When the season finished we were still 3 points from 5th.
Sorry... just noticed this is the Mourinho thread. So I'll leave it there and go back to celebrating that we got 6th and don't have to rely on Arsenal losing to get into the Europa. I'm looking forward to a good run in this competition and believe Jose could lead us to lifting the trophy.
