Anyone else think Ollie Watkins at Brentford would be worth it? I think he could play both alongside or instead of Kane. He has pace to burn, seems capable of a lot of different goals and seems to have that knack of finding himself in the right positions in the box.
I like him a lot. Tonnes of pace, can play CF or wing, really gooder header of a ball too. Not sure he's the type of striker Jose wants, though. Seems he wants a classic hold up man, and Watkins isn't really that at all.

Players I think we can keep for certain and still move forward from a squad perspective are:

Lloris, Gazzaniga, Austin, Dier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Tanganga, Davies, Winks, Lo Celso, Dele, Son, Lucas, Bergwijn, Kane

Ones I’m on the fence with who seem OK but may also take space up are:

Aurier, Vertonghen, Sissoko, Ndombele, Gedson, Lamela

Ones that really need shifting are:

Vorm, Walker-Peters, Rose, Foyth

15 to keep, 6 to make a decision on and 4 to absolutely move on. Most notably in the 15 to keep I don’t have a natural RB, DM or backup FWD. even if we keep Aurier a RB should be just as high up on our list as the DM and FWD.

Aarons, Hojbjerg & Milik my top 3 as it stands, with a CB coming into add depth with Jan and Juan making way.

Aurier has shown great application under Jose, I just hope we try to bring in a technically gifted RB who loves to attack as it will be a nightmare for the opposition to deal with. Right now the opposition seem ok to let Aurier have the initial space out wide.

Not sure who is available that we could afford. Atal? Think he got a bad injury recently though.

I think there are some interesting players that would improve the squad should their current sides be relegated. Ones to keep and eye on.

Norwich - Cantwell reminds me of a younger Grealish. Played brilliantly from the left yesterday and Aarons has been widely mentioned.

Bournemouth - Ake is a a commodity in the fact that he’s a proven left sided central defender.

West Ham - Declan Rice will be in high demand but could fill the void at DM

Villa - Grealish may well now be out of reach but Mings and John Mcginn have proven themselves to be accomplished premier league players.

I have real issues with both Milik and Hojbjerg. Milik is far to slow and often misses some easy chances. I really think we need someone faster for our back up striker who offers something different to Kane. As for Hojbjerg, he's okay but I have my doubts over his ability as a ball winner and if we want to play two more creative players beside him, I feel we need someone who is more sturdy defensively. Especially as a DM is a position we have been crying out for for years. I know financially it's a difficult period but I feel both we would would want to upgrade on before long.

Completely agree with this. Very hard to be inspired by either of these signings and obviously won’t take us onto a new level.

Would much prefer Ollie Watkins instead of Milik for example.

I’d love us to start rolling the dice on some younger talent with unknown ceilings.

Signing Milik would violate two of my red line golden rules when it comes to transfers.

1. Never sign a player who's had multiple ACL injuries. It just isn't worth the risk.
2. Never sign a player over 26 from Serie A. The league is just too different pace-wise and tactically from the PL. It's OK to sign young players from there who are more maleable, but anything over 26, forget it.

Absolutely, feels in the current market where we've really got to maximise the money we spend and make it count, this signing comes with too much risk.

Out of curiosity, what are your other 'red line golden rules'? ?

Also at Norwich- Godfrey is a solid centre back.
Also at Bournemouth- David Brooks was one that got away and seems to have recovered from his serious injury. Josh King and Callum Wilson could provide experienced striker cover.

I'm really excited about this kid - Gabriel Veron.

Not as flashy as Talles at Vasco (been linked with Liverpool) But I think he has a very strong direct approach. Excellent control at high speeds and he's quite diminutive for his size. He's a fighter and works hard. But his biggest asset is gliding past players which would be perfect for a counter attacking team.

Probably not what we need right now but I'd love to think we'd start to buy and then loan out these talents.

This guy has pace to burn, acceleration is outstanding, I would prefer him to Lucas as he would cause issue to DEF and be far more of a goal threat and score more than lucas, however with his stature would he be PL suitable , he would get fouled alot and could he take that?

Ideally we need :-

* RB - like hakimi also need cover as tanganga is injured for a bit
* LB - Like Hernandez at AC (amazing going forward DEF needs some work but JM can help sor that out ) and 100% LB Cover davies just dont cut the mustard, as nice as the lad is, he is not the type of player to take us anywhere into the next level
* DM aka Dembele Style, we need a hard man, boss man , someone people fear
* Out and out Second Striker / CF - Adolfo Gaich as mentioned before, like a mix of Crespo/Batistuta/Chrisian Vieri, he also has decent pace not lighting but still decent

Biggest thing we need to do is invest like the all the Big Boys do, we need investment in REFS and VAR ? ? ? ? ? ? although tongue in cheek but a true point, all the big boys get PREF treatment even with VAR replays, we need to get them in our pocket

On the striker front Why did we not go for Danny Ings 20 goals this season and counting?

If Watford get relegated, would Deeney suit people's needs? I think he'd be an inspired signing personally.

Can’t believe Hakimi is being sold and we’re not at least fighting for his signature. He’s one of the top three RBs in the world right now.

I think he’d be phenomenal in that role. Physical as hell and a grade A pain in the butt to play against.

Been loosely linked to Dominik Szoboszlai today....

If there is any truth in this at all we should be all over him....the kid is going to be an absolute star!

That third goal is just rude. Reminds me a bit of Eriksen with some more physicality and some tricks, he’s been so impressive in Europe this year!

Probably not going to happen but we can dream!
