The times he has played, he has been the best player on the pitch. I think he's shown enough to be considered class. Maybe he has a bad attitude, I don't know. But he's widely considered one of the best prospects in world football. We're in danger of losing him. How is he going to win Jose over if he's not aloud to show it where it matters... on the pitch.
Mate, the only way you could truly say he has been the best player in the pitch is if you think Match of the Day highlights accurately represent who played the best. He has done some good things when playing for us, but it's not attitude, if you watch him, he is not good enough to start. Our most talented player yes, but if it was all about talent Ben Arfa would have won the ballon d'or by now and Taarabt would be a tottenham legend.

It's not attitude that limited those players, though they had it, what cost those players was that they wouldn't be disciplined on the pitch. N'domblele, on what he has shown us, is not disciplined enough to start, and nor is he consistent (he is often wildly inconsistent within a game itself, thats ok for a creative attacking midfielder, not for a CM) enough either, he is still a useful player who could develop into something amazing. Whether these issues are caused by attitude, that he hasn't been coached in the right way, maybe a lack of footballing intelligence or fitness issues isn't completely clear. But comparing him to Lo Celso, who has similar attacking traits but backs it up with constant fight and energy, they are not even close

They need to fuck up about that handball - you can't tell if it hits his arm or not.

Why every single goal is checked when it was brought in for "clear and obvious" errors. Clearly that wasn't clear and obvious as it's took people watching it 10 times to try and work something out.
I'm convinced that when they say "clear and obvious" what they really mean is "incredibly marginal".

Tbh, if Dier and Sanchez do make it into a formidable CB pair for the rest of the season, credit much to Mourinho. And we still have Toby available as well as Japhet. Next season could be exciting. Levy will love him to death.

I hope today will slowly ignite the fire in Kane. A very confident goal and well done today. ???

Kept Bowen under control for most of the game, who looks like a good talent.

Can’t understand the stick Ben gets on here, he’s a reliable, consistent defender. No he isn’t as good going forward as someone like Rose but he’s still a very good player.
He's perfect for the system Mourinho wants to play, a flat four in defence and a three with one full back bombing forward and one tucking in when we attack.

After 20 mins there was only one team that looked like winning it. For the sheer dominance of ball and territory I thought we'd eventually get the break through.

The second goal was a rapid and efficient counter attack - the thing we have seen a most definite change and work on since Mourinho came in. In this aspect he is comfortable drilling his team and I don't have any worries that over time we will see more efficiency and quality and score plenty of goals in this manner.

Though chances came here and there, in general I thought the overall play against a side sitting back and defending deep was pretty unconvincing. This was a problem under Poch, it is an inheritance that Mourinho has to solve as we will face plenty of this and not always have matches with plenty of counter/transition opportunities. Too many of our players are just not comfortable in how to break teams down, manipulate the ball and create space, and operate in tight spaces with quality. Tactically there needs to be nuances to have a bit more direction in how we're going about our work and exposing weaknesses in the opposition. This will be the biggest challenge for him I suspect.

Fairly routine win in the end, nice to get three points after what feels like an eternity. On to the next one...

Yep. Honestly I can’t remember the last win I saw at home In the league. Burnley?

We won
No injuries.

Sky are seriously trying to spin that possible-not-at-all-conclusive handball into some sort of ‘West Ham were robbed’ narrative. Jesus H Sky need to have a word with themselves.
Terrible first 20 mins from us but reasonably strong 70 mins after. Deserved win. Haven’t said that for aaaaages!

Ndombele hasn’t earned his place yet, he was awful against Chelsea and Burnley and needs to earn his place.

Although we need a backup striker, kane only played 90min as we have 9 days without a game now

Unless it's some way of making him hungry and eager to play, i don't see why he don't deserves even 15min of game time. If not for the own goal, we could be trying to break down the West Ham defence.

As for Kane, i'm tired of the same narrative we cant get an decent backup or young forward. With his injuries record and him just coming back from one, running him till 90min today just not benefit him long term even our next game is 9 days away.

A well needed three points. We took some time to settle in, thereafter, we were the much stronger squad. Good to see Kane back ob the goal sheet. A clean sheet, I thought our defenders played well and held their performance throughout the game. COYS!!!!
