agree, he's still one of the best defenders in world football
joey barton famously said he looked like a ladyboy and it's hard not to un see that coz he really does, but he's worth a punt if the numbers add up

Thats what they all say about Ladyboys.

I've cleared this with A&C and Rob. I was told by someone that Jose has made enquiries about Thiago Silva and if he'd like to join us. That's as far as it could go, as we all know Levy may be reluctant to sign a 35 year old. But just thought I'd put it out there that Silva is under consideration.
To be fair Levy did sign Gallas for Redknapp and he was only 2 years younger so it's possible.

I haven't watched him for a while is he still physically fit and sharp? The only problem I could see is if he see's us as a retirement village and stops putting in the effort. Otherwise if he's fit and sharp he would add some quality to what we have now.

Two years younger in your mid thirties is a lot. And Gallas was PL proven. Much less of a risk. I’m not saying it won’t happen but I’d be very surprised
I'm not sure how much of a risk it would be considering he's a free transfer. It's just a question of wage demands but we won't pay overboard anyway. He'll replace Vertonghen who we get no money on and is not good enough anymore. I would not be surprised to get Silva for a season and loan Foyth for a season.

The encouraging sign is he apparently wants to play in the Premier League so must still have the motivation. Otherwise he would go to China or Qatar for one big final pay day.

Milik link is most likely agents and media making things up. Too much money for a player with wrong age profile that will sit and get cold on the bench behind Kane.

What? One year left on his deal is only 26. In case you haven't realized Kane misses 2-3 months every season and needs to be rotated.

For what its worth Ally Gold also mentioned that he heard we were seriously looking into him.

Would take Milik, he’s a good goalscorer and unlike Soldado seems to have the right physicality for the premier league. Additionally, if our current system is anything to go by he’d probably start his fair share with Kane rather than instead of with Harry dropping into the AM slots Dele/ Lamela and Lucas/ Bergwijn occupy, could work at treat v weaker sides.

Probably means it ain’t happening ?

We'll see about that. He's only got a year left on his deal so I'd imagine we'll be hoping for quite a bargain.
We will hope but with Juve interested it will be hard, although ADL would prefer to sell not to them. But if we want to backup striker worth ~20-30m we will have money for other positions too.

Would love milik for the right price. Entering the last year of his deal so should be a knockdown price, but de Laurentiis never budges on his asking prices and tends to set them quite high, so hope the pandemic has brought his price down, because I think he’s a quality striker. He’s dropped off a bit from last season (very slightly) but napoli were in disarray the first half of the season, and he tends to split time with mertens anyway, so his goals to games/minutes ratio is good for sort of a half-first choice striker. I’ve followed serie a plenty, especially this season with the intense title race, so here’s my take: Playing style reminds me of a left footed Benzema, as he scores goals but his best qualities are his tireless off-ball work and pressing and his playmaking/link ability, so in a sense he’s also similar to kane. Great header of the ball, one of the best in Europe, and is deadly over a dead ball and in the box for free kicks. The only worry is his past injury history, with two major knee injuries in the past 4 years, but he’s been relatively healthy the past 2 and he’s shown incredible drive and perseverance to return from those injuries a much better player. Would def work in a 2 with kane, as both are more than capable of dropping deep and linking play, but worst case, he would be the best rotation no 9 in the league imo. The issue is that milik isn’t the fastest, So would it work having two strikers with neither being a burner? Idk. Finally, if he’s just going to be a rotation striker, I wouldn’t want to pay anywhere near what he’s likely to cost, but if Jose wants him, I’m in. Great player

Anyone to help Harry out would be great, felt for him the way he lay on the grass after the goal the other day and was knackered.
