I'd imagine Jose would like that too but he doesnt have it.

Then at least try something with your 50m midfielder you got from Lyon. He now watched him weeks in training and should know at least some way how to use him. And if only for 20 minutes if he still lacks fitness.
We are out there 90 minutes with Winks and Sissoko... I am not even sure Burnley or Sheffield would do that and would be happy with that.

If this game was played pre-lockdown we where getting beat 3 or 4 - nil.

Soft penalty to give away, but other than that we ground out a result.

How many times in the past have we played beautiful football but lost miserably. We didn't lose which keeps us in the hunt.

If Lamela could have found his passing boots today we could easily have had another 2 or 3 one on one situations. Kept getting into amazing positions but his quality with the final ball was atrocious.

Positives to take out of the game - especially seeing Roy Keane lose his shit at half time. Amazing.

The feelings of anger, frustration, sadness, dejection and relief thats its all over. While it sucks, i really missed this shit. I love you, Tottenham.

Another one missed from not going the extra mile - Bruno Fernandes.
Could have been Jose's Frank Lampard. Can shoot, pass, create, get into good spaces.
Or you could have Winks who erm erm erm...

Completely differents players but ok. Poch choose Lo Celso over him and that was very good decision.

He is a midfielder stop being on the windup. You know exactly what Jose was saying and he is 100% correct.

I’m not winding up. I appreciate he’s not going to run channels but he doesn’t give the ball away and could have done a job when our team was knackered.

Do you think a Dier/Sanchez partnership is the way forward? I think there is some promise there. Obviously we have Tanganga too but he could play RB and then we have a pretty pacy backline especially if we start blooding Sessegnon too.

Come on now, we clearly signed Lo Celso instead of Fernandes. It was always one or the other, both are quality but I would take Lo Celso anyway. He's been one of our best players this season and offers more off the ball as well.

"I like my team performance, especially for 70 minutes. I think we were always in control and gave them the game they didn't like very much. But from minute 70 I had tired players on the pitch but not the options to change them. Without Lucas and Dele we didn't have the options. We felt that in the last 20 minutes."

I think I believe him

I would have put on a pair of fresh legs in place of Kane. Anyone who could run like mad for the last 20 minutes to help preserve our lead. Actually for the last part of the game, we were like playing with ten and a half men as Kane was totally spent.

True but we have to assume its for kanes fitness. We need him up yo speed

That was absolutely crap.

Jose and his staff have a LOT of work to do. Dare I say, forget about Europe next year and concentrate on squad momentum, overhaul and integration of youth and new faces/signings.

Bruno Fernandes is a baller. Eric Dier is not.

The truth hurts

Only just seen the highlights but surely that was a dive by Pogba? Soft at best.

Don't think it was "dive" but it was very very soft. If Dier had laid hands on him, to pull back or attempted a challenge on the ball and missed it would have been different. But he didn't so it wasn't a pen. Pogba initiates the arm contact and the leg contact was incidental.

Very harsh on Dier.

This was a must win game and to be in front, we should have tried to protect the lead. Let him play longer and regain his firness against a lesser team. We've lost the chance of closing the gap.
