Harvey White and Cirkin were in the video of the players doing the rondo.

So happy that they're both training with the 1st team. I think White and Cirkin are both very exciting talents and I would love to see them pre season and in the cups next season.

With the 5 subs I’d hope that they could get some minutes this season, obviously have to make the bench first

Don't forget we have a fully fit squad at the moment so the subs bench will be filled with first teamers

They are still trying to agree the number of players that could be subs though, Chelsea apparently want at least 9 on the bench because they think allowing 5 subs is not enough, they want 9.

Personally i think 5 from 10 will be it, so a couple of youngsters is possible.

We have a fully fit squad for now, bar Parrott. However, we’re Spurs. Dont expect that to last. Also, since they’re allowing 5 subs, im sure they’ll expand the subs bench 2 or 3 players so there should be some youth players on the bench to make up the numbers.

Has there ever been any good justification for not allowing teams to have 11 players from the subs bench to choose from? If the 3 subs a game rule is annoying. Would love to see at least 5 subs allowed each game and 11 players to choose from. Would definitely help with lessening performance burnout and players overloading on minutes.

Anyone think George Marsh might have a chance as a RB ( where he played today) almost in the steady but unspectacular Gary Neville style RB.

Not sure I’d dismiss Marsh so quickly. Pochettino gave him a chance. Mourinho has only selected 3 youth players to be involved at this point and he’s one of them. Could have picked Eyoma BLF Hinds to play RB but he picked Marsh. They obviously see something in him.

League 2 player at best imo
That's not terrible though.

I fundamentally dislike describing any kid who has progressed well enough to get picked up by our academy as terrible, even if they end up never playing higher than the National League. Not good enough for Spurs, League Two at best, these are all valid things to say. Terrible just isn't for me.

This 100%

In a world where armchair critics seem to think they have an omniscient perspective on the ability, mentality and potential of a young footballer do people not think that players (especially young players that come through the youth system and may be fans themselves) actually come on these sites and read these comments. Do people not think that it could have a big impact on a young man's psychology. Imagine trying to be successful in your career at the age of 20 and having thousands of people writing stuff on the internet like "he's shit, he's crap, terrible, awful, waste of space".

People on here have said Fredericks was awful and would never make it, Smith wasn't good enough, even a player who has taken the long route like Charlie Daniels but eventually, through persistence and hard work made it through to play in the top league. But actually if people were more understanding that people and players develope at different rates and speeds then we'd probably have far more youth players being supported to succeed in our squad.

If Marsh is not good enough now I can accept that, if he has a poor game I can accept that but rather than toss a player on the rubbish pile of failed youths why not give a more educated view of why he has succeeded so far, where he needs improvement, whether we should persist or if he's likely a late bloomer, if he may be better developing elsewhere..etc.. I'm pretty sure that would be a more helpful approach.
