If there in no CL would that count as 1 of the years city are banned?
Depends entirely on whether UEFA have been clever enough to sanction them for two "competitions" or "seasons" or whether it says two years. Two years could lead to City getting away with it.

Government tells Premier League stars to keep social distance on pitch 'where possible'

They are having a laugh. I can't wait to see how corners are treated! How do you commit to a tackle?

I wonder who the first player to get disciplined will be? Someone is bound to overcelebrate, cough on someone else, get too close etc...

This is actually where I feel sorry for the players. Stupid mixed messaging. What are they supposed to do with this? The only way to make it work is to make it as safe as possible through testing.

They'll all be practicing two metre man marking from set pieces no doubt...
What about awarding free kicks if you get within two metres of the attacker. :cautious:

Perhaps at corners they should all have to allocate a marker then be strapped together with a distance stick to keep them apart :wacky:
You couldn't make this shit up.

It’s massively on a knife edge. Cases up last 2 days lots of warnings from senior scientists. Still 3 weeks to first games. If they have to take any backward steps to ramp up lockdown it will surely be called off.

I think its unfair if VAR isnt playing .... they deserve joint PL winners medals for their extreme heavy involvement in Scouse being so far ahead
. The irony of this, when it is actually Spurs that have gained the most points from VAR decisions this season

There is nothing to say City will be banned yet for even one season. UEFA never have the fight for cases that go to CAS, even though evidence would seem strong to support UEFA and they should be congratulated for what they have done, I can possibly see it being totally overturned and certainly halved on appeal

In slightly better news:

PL live in a bubble-The national results may seem positive but regional areas will be effective differently...(Players normally self isolate being the prima donnas or (premier-donnas) they are so should stay virus free because they don't make contact with plebs... however, looking at stats...

I live in the NW...The South 0.6 P number - Northwest 1.6 P. Liverpool are being hit badly at the moment against the rest of the country.

Just saying, it could all go badly wrong.
