So no Prem game since 9th March. The last Spurs game was 10th March and was our 3-0 defeat in the CL.

Seems when the season is on football is always near the front of my mind then in the summer it is all about the transfer window.

But this is the first time when there really is no football. No games, no real transfer talk and it's hard to talk about next season as we have no idea what's going on.

So with a break of almost a month and no idea when it will restart have you actually missed football?

No. I miss Tottenham (place) though.

Not missed football at all so far! Been playing more football with my eldest kid in the garden.

I have definitely missed the pub and the game overall. From a Spurs POV I was just waiting for this season to be over.

I wont say I miss football especially, what has been a shite season overall but I miss sport overall. For example in the summer there is always stuff like cricket and tennis which are good substitutes. Also given the current situation sport would help in being in lockdown and taking your mind away from the shit that is going on

I'm really going to miss my kids cricket season. Training down the local club on a Friday evening with a bbq and the bar open. Sitting in the sunshine with a cold beer.
Then their matches on Sunday mornings and various week nights
There not much better than sitting in the sunshine with a beer, watching my kids play cricket for 3 hours.

Not particular and finding more and more apathy towards reading the usual debates, I seem to just reading the same old shit out of habit these days.

Miss not seeing football in general although not the shit served up by us, but overall not important when people are dying.

I haven’t missed it one bit and think I’m better off without it. I find the concept of pl footy weird. Why the fuck would I want a complete stranger to earn £200k a week and get mad and pissed off when another complete stranger doesn’t pay it. Football is the worse drug out there very little highs and a whole load of lows.

Saying that I’m sure I’ll be hooked again once it back otherwise I wouldn’t keep coming back on this forum.

I’ve been posing the exact same question to myself this last week so I’m glad you started a thread. I’m sure I should make a list really of the things I miss and the things I don’t. I’ll give it a try but I will probably have to add to it after thinking further.

Don’t miss

1. The rubbish atmosphere at the stadium
2. The season ticket holders who sit behind me and moan all game. I decided not to go to the Man U game before it was even cancelled as I was fed up with them.
3. The rubbish football served up over the last 14 months.
4. Lots of our fans and their negative attitude towards aspects of the club such as the manager(s) and the owner no matter what they do.
5. VAR and the poor officiating - this should of been number one actually.
6. The obvious biased reporting and coverage on television towards certain clubs.
7. Telling my eldest that we didn’t win again.

Do miss

1. Getting out the house and going to the stadium and seeing mates.
2. Swearing a lot at the stadium and getting my life frustrations out that way.
3. It would of been the spontaneous elation of celebrating goals, but VAR has taken that away already.
4. My eldest finally wants to sit down and watch games with me for longer than 5 minutes, pity we aren’t amazing any more. I’ve waited for this moment for years.

Not really. Doesn't help that watching us the last 18months has been like sticking pins in your testicles. Probably :cautious:

I haven't missed watching us, but I've missed watching other teams play. Definitely haven't missed listening to the talking heads on TV.

Yes. Mostly because I'm over 61 and stuck at home in quarantine. At my age, I cannot risk going out and become infected. Stats show that 90% of deaths of those infected are over the age of 60. I am lonely, bored and really down.
Therefore If football was on, it would at least help me fill my time watching the game I really love.

I miss good football. But Spurs haven’t been playing that in a long time. I wasn’t really enjoying myself watching us for quite a while. I don’t miss having to watch the shite we’ve been playing. I miss us having a striker. Looking forward to having one of them.

Overall, I’ve kept myself busy and can easily go for another while without it. There’s plenty of distraction.
