In Business, as in life, you set your standards and hope that others seek to aspire to them, rather cite with disdain. Not caught the full story here in Oz but it seems on first run to be both a moral outrage and PR disaster. Scanned the various forms of social media and the most distressing two words emanating from long term Spurs fans seems to be embarrassment and shame:inpain:

This is simply a moral argument, so there is little to be gained from people continually spouting how it makes great business sense. At the end of the day, we all have different views on morality and ethics and as has been shown many many times, some people will do ANYTHING to make/save money.

It's disgraceful and I don't see how it can be justified generally. Clearly also waited until another club did it first as well.

Whatever financial justification you want to give it just leaves a real sour taste in the mouth imo, it's a shitty and cruel thing to do to hard working every day staff. It also feels like abuse of the system for individuals in particular need. Not good for PR either with fans already rightly grumbling about a number of things.

I hope he sees sense and u-turns regardless of what the players contribute.

Is laughable how people just easily suggest Levy to cough back the bonus he got, get the players to subsidise the wages etc etc. There are just so many implications to all these finances going around and the precedents these will set if these do happen.

All businesses come with accounting and every dollar every pound has to be accounted for. £3million pound of Levy's bonus is not peanut to him or uncle Joe. It is still £3million worth of today's value that needs proper statements.

I hope he does whatever is best for the club.
I care about THFC, I don't give a solitary fuck what others think of us.
It's more than that though. Are we a community football club or what? Do we give a fuck about our employees? Take Levy's salary out of the equation and we're not talking staggering amounts of money to cover it for a few months.

Maybe it's in the best interests of a money making machine sure.

I’ve seen a few “reputable” journalists say he’s on £7m per annum too. Too easy to be wrong, not challenged on it and it to become fact nowadays.

Same goes for Jose, £15m splashed on the back of a tabloid and that becomes fact, even though ITK confirmed it is more than Poch but not that much
