Thank fuck he signed that 6 year deal when he did. Zero chance he would that now. Levy did well there

Maybe but to me it shows how out of touch footballers are. I mean with everything that’s going on who really gives a fuck if a player stays or goes.

Looks to me he’s been paid by sky sports to do an online q’n’a. Just totally poor for me.

I disagree with you, obviously they're bigger priorities than football at the moment but I don't see it as poor to conduct an interview and give the public a distraction, whether you choose to take them up on the distraction is your perogative but I don't get why people get upset that the whole world isn't collectively rocking back and forth on the floor refreshing the news and choosing to do other things.

Unpopular opinion but Kane leaving wouldn't be the end of the world.

He hasn't been his best for a couple of years.

Also pretty disrespectful to talk about leaving to win trophies. He delivered a non-existent display in our club's biggest ever game. Clearly wasn't fit. .

For the past few seasons it's felt like we've played half of it without him, so wouldn't have the impact for example Aubameyang leaving Arse would.

Part of me somethings thinks we're a bit handicapped by having one of the best strikers in the world in a 1-up-top system when he wants to play constantly, as it sort of blocks us from getting a half decent backup.

I wouldn't begrudge him the move. I was annoying at the time with Sheringham as he the left and we got nothing, whereas if Harry left we would probably be able to rebuild and replace with quite a few players. Well, as long as it wouldn't be on the last day of the window like Berbatov.

I think doing a q ‘n’ a is fine if he’d done it with one of his mates trying to lift peoples spirits but this was clearly a pr stunt to get his thoughts out there.

I hate to agree to an extent, but I think it's clearly the case. Kane from 15-18 was phenomenal, with a scorching peak through '17, and during that time he was the best striker of his ilk in the world in my opinion. Injuries have really hit him hard and he just doesn't quite have the same zizz. He is still excellent, and some parts of his game have improved since then, or at least he more often utilises those parts. But if he got the ball anywhere in the final third or had a sniff of a shot, then magic was always on the cusp of happening, now that is much rarer. It could be put down somewhat to our collective struggles and his own mentality, but I feel it's more than just that. He may well reclaim a lot of that former form with an injury-free run in a well-performing team, but he may well not, and that's the worry. Of course, any injury-free run with Kane in the team will be beneficial, but I think some may be thinking how his potential fee could start to diminish over the next few years if there isn't a shift from what has become the standard.

This is of course sacrilege, and I am in no way advocating he should go, my word we need him back badly right now for a start. But if he were to go, we'd most likely be adequately compensated, and while replacing Kane of '17 might be an impossible task, replacing Kane of '19 might not be such a feat. Again, this isn't suggesting he can't show that quality again or close to it, or that I want him to go (I'd be thrilled if he stayed and finished his career with us), but there is a chance both parties may well view a deal to be in their best interests.

I really would like to see who, all posters supporting the idea of Kane leaving, believe they could bring in to replace Harry . Must be scores of similar strikers with his goal return per game out there!!

100% Pochettino's fault, not Kane's.

I want Kane to stay. I believe he is our talisman and a huge character. Sometimes we might have to cash in on players when they are closing to their decline but for me Kane is exempt from this.

I would assume that people advocating him leaving see him as declining and see now as the time to get a premium price for him. I doubt many think we can buy a player of the same quality.

If this club really wants to make a massive statement to underline how unambitious we are then, yes, sell him!
We can’t keep him if he doesn’t want to be here and if his heart isn’t in it. As long as we spend it well.

He obviously loves the club but he's not 21 anymore and doesn't want to get stuck aboard a sinking ship. He's actually made similar comments in the past, the difference being we were a club in ascendancy so no-one was worried.

Obviously we don't want to sell him as he's our talisman and most important player - and there's no way he'll leave this summer - but if he keeps getting injured you have to wonder if we can afford to have a £150 million-odd striker who can only manage 20 games a season? I'd probably still say yes, but there are decent arguments on both sides.

I think the real question is - even if worst comes to worst and we crash and burn next season under Mourinho - will any club actually stump up the kind of money Levy will be asking for Kane? There's a chance that the combination of his talent and his injuries will effectively make him impossible to sell (unless Madrid or Utd are prepared to pay stupid Bale-style money).

Is winning a few trophies a greater legacy than becoming the all time highest goalscorer for both Premier League and Tottenham Hotspur? If he stays I think he will achieve both plus become England's leading scorer too. He might also win something with Spurs. Really don't think leaving would be his best move.

Disagree. If he knew he wasn't 100% he shouldn't have declared himself fit to play the whole game. Obviously Poch shouldn't have started him either. Team and club before individuals

I can't believe 14 people agree with this. Shocked.
