Void it and sky can do a live studio split screen programme so as its announced we can see spitty carragher and phil Thompson's face live.

I'd keep my sports subscription going for that hell I would even pay extra like box office :geek:

Void the league season. Nothing has been won or lost as yet, so clubs shouldn’t be rewarded or punished while the maths allows for so many different outcomes. It’s the only way that all clubs can be treated equally.

IMO, if the situation doesn’t improve, then the season should be void. All teams that qualified for Europe (CL & EL) last season will do so again next season. There will be no relegation / promotion at the end of the season.

However if the above solution isn’t acceptable by the relevant parties then -

1) (much as I dislike it), Liverpool are so far ahead in the table, they should be crowned champions.

2) Man City’s ban from Europe should stand (as it’s not related to the virus issue). Leicester & Chelsea (being currently in the top four) should qualify for next season’s CL. The team that finished in the top four last season (ie. us) , should take City’s place for next season’s CL (that’s me wearing my Spurs tinted glasses ?).

3) Man Utd, Wolves, Sheffield Utd & Arsenal (as they are the four clubs currently just outside the CL spots), should have playoff matches between themselves to see which two of them qualify for next season’s EL. They shouldn’t complain about not getting CL (for next season) as they currently aren’t in a top four slot.

4) the bottom 3 clubs in the PL, and top three clubs in the championship (based on current standings) should have a playoff round to see which three clubs play in the PL next season.

either void the season or do a tournament style with the top 9 teams to decide who finishes where

2nd-9th do a knockout competition whoever wins that competition plays Liverpool to decide the winner

This Season:
- European competitions cancelled.
- FA Cup cancelled
- League season restarts in August.
- Games played twice a week.
- Season complete by start of September.
- Transfer window remains closed except to allow contract extensions until end of season.

Two weeks:
- end of season break
- transfer window for two weeks
- preliminary FA Cup round(s)

New season:
- starts mid September
- Carabou cup cancelled
- Europa League cancelled?
- Season progresses as normal.
- Euro 2021 starts a fortnight later than planned (facilitated by no clash with Olympic Games)

Then Tottenham win it and the Amazon documentary is pure gold!

You cannot apply different standards to different clubs. Liverpool cannot be awarded the title while you make teams like Norwich compete to avoid relegation. Thinking cannot be defined by the fact that Liverpool have a healthy lead in terms of points and seem odds on to win. There‘s a reason why they are not champions yet: it’s not a mathematical certainty.

fair :)
But it is quite a hard one (once we remove the spurs tinted glasses)
How do you not give this Liverpool team the title?
How do you just pop us back into the CL next season (after this utter shit show) and deny Leicester?
But similarly how do you relegate teams to the Championship knowing that one could have made it free?
But how do you not reward Leeds et al for an amazing season?
It's not easy. Scrap the season? Well, why not pick up where you left off in the late summer - have a mini break and then start a season where perhaps all the domestic cups are scrapped and CL/EL are shortened a bit?

Liverpool, WBA, and Leeds have all had good seasons, but they haven't won any think yet, and the three teams currently in the relegation spots haven't been relegated yet either, they still have a chance to survive.

In my opinion the only fair way for all concerned is to void the season.

I think Liverpool know what’s coming, hence the tone and content of Klopp‘s statement yesterday. It was really very good.

Only thing I genuinely care about is Liverpool not winning the title. Void the season so those insufferable cretins have to keep quiet for a few weeks. Mind you, they would probably spend that time playing the victim card all over the show, we know how good they are at that.

After all their boasting and shit talking this season about how they are the best team in the world would be smashed right back into their faces when they end the season with jack to show for it.

Please God, Let them void this season.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Can you imagine how many fans would be rubbing their hands with glee at the idea of that happening to us?

Just end the season here. Harsh on all those in relegation and missing out on promotion/European qualifications. But it makes it clean, without hassle and complications. More important things.

If the season recommences, we'll have Kane back.
If the season is void, we'll never have had this season at all.
A win-win for Spurs? Impossible. Something is about to sneak up on us.

That's a very selfless thing to say with so much riding on the rest of our season. I wish there were more good people like you.

I’ve just thought of something that hasn’t been suggested.

All teams are quarantined at their training grounds for two weeks to make sure no players or coaches have the virus. Then games are played behind closed doors or even at each club’s own training grounds a week or so later.

Virus wouldn’t be present in the players and the games get played.
