This is therapy. I’m putting it all out there instead of thumping a wall. Very rarely get involved in Spurs Chat. But this is really bloody annoying me.
Let's hope he does succeed because I suspect that compensation is not kept separate from the already limited transfer budget.

This thread is a real giver - I'm surprised the Levy/ENIC beacon hasn't brought the masses in here - it's being set up perfectly.

It's like the 'man in a raincoat' era all over again. He did deliver a trophy (thanks to Ginola), lets hope that Jose can do the same.

He’s one manager who hasn’t exactly set the world alight and is incredibly negative. And he knocked Parrott’s performance for a 25 minute sub appearance and penalty miss. And he has plenty of previous for throwing players under the bus when he wants to deflect attention away from scrutiny about his performance. And we knew all of this when he was hired, it’s not just because of the injuries we have now. He’s reverted to type while he tried to sell us a line that he was humble. People know what Mourinho is. They just hope he will deliver enough trophies before they have to face it.
He didnt knock parrott, he said the penalty miss wasnt Troy and it didnt matter as everyone misses them. I thought he was fairly supportive. As he was of Sessegnon and Tanganga post Leipzig.

When JM is asked a direct question about a player and gives a direct answer, it is taken as negative. For me, he just says it as it is. Parrott, for example, simply isn't ready for whatever reason.

Again, what is he meant to do with the current crop of players? They have been largely error prone defensively and give the ball away. Problems he inherited.

I see comments about his negative tactics. But, what is he meant to do, with no target man? He tries with Lucas, who just doesn't cut the mustard as a CF. Neither does Dele. So with no real goal threat, and coupled with a leaky defense. What can he or anyone else do?

If it's like this after he gets time.to get a couple of his own choices.in and fully fit squad. Then I'll be in the JM critical sector. Until.then, I really dont see what else the man can do.

"However, arguably the most damning statistic is the amount of goals which have been conceded by Spurs since Mourinho's arrival, with 38 goals beating one of three different goalkeepers over 26 matches.

The debacle in Germany means that Spurs are second only to struggling Aston Villa when it comes goals which have been shipped by Premier League clubs since November 23."

"It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have
set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."

And now the bar is set at George Graham.

He won’t get the same budget from Levy to repeat his League Cup and Europa League heroics.
No and much as I think that he deserves the summer and the opportunity to bring in some more of his own players, he should know that Levy won't back him like he has been at previous clubs. That won't be an excuse if he doesn't succeed. It will be interesting to see what happens with Kane though as that could possibly amount to a not insignificant cash injection if he does leave. That being said, we would be looking at a transfer saga that would rumble on until the end of the window.

We should have hired Howe.

People would have been fine with it, I am seriously starting to actually believe it.

We could set it at Juande Ramos instead !

Does this factor in injuries?

I mean, this is a fucking worthless quote without its source as well. People wonder why I get shitty - because pointless bollocks like this just serve an agenda.

He is by nature a negative manager. Sit back and wait for the opposition to make a mistake and then hit them. But with no recognised killer punch he’s doubled up on the negativity and it’s just killing us. Lucas and Dele are getting pelters for doing bugger all with the scraps they’re getting. Why don’t we be more positive? To Dare is To Do after all. Set up like a normal bloody team, create more up front and allow defenders to play in a system that they are comfortable with? Back to basics stuff. Not cramming the team full of centre backs because obviously no one could score or win against a team like that.

Those first 4 months under our Lord and Saviour were tantalising.
I’d be more inclined to give Poch the time because we knew what he was trying to achieve having seen Southampton play. With giving Mourinho time, it’s based only on waiting for the trophies to arrives. All our eggs are in the one basket and that basket has seen better days.

I'm convinced that whether Jose survives into next season will be determined by the attitudes of our major players- Kane, lo celso, dele, son , Bergy etc. ( even N'Dombele) We need to hold onto them more than jose.
What we don't yet know is whether they are on board with him and accepting he has had his hands tied by the injuries or they have come to the conclusion that he is no longer the special one, quite the opposite.
