Dont forget the summer time ball, Rugby league and guns and roses as well.. but we fans need to be really proud that our ground which we were told was being built for our club is now being used to host these ”world class” events and apparent super stars of the entertainment industry“.
It's delightful more money for players

We are going to have to mate otherwise we can expect to hover around the position we are in now remember it was this attitude and neglect that is part of the problem.

I agree but the main arguments are

1. to believe what we could spend before the stadium

2. whose fault we never did anything in 2018 and January 2019.

we all know or should that in Poch time we have only ever purchased Moura in a January window, and he wasn't exactly used much which was most probably the fact he had only 72 minutes with PSG that season.

the anti ENIC believe if we didn't have the funds then they should have opened their own wallets, to 1 buy quality and pay them as well as the 2 or 3 players each season we failed to sell to pay their wages while they sat at home doing nothing, and understand the HG issues (Levy should have done something quicker and better to get Grealish). they also don't believe it was Poch that decided against transfers in the barron season

Some people just can’t resist digging out Jose, and normally the same posters. I would understand if this was next season. Regarding TN, you don’t know what rockets, and how many Jose has given privately, and as a group. A player who played under him for few seasons, said he always tells you he will always back you publicly, if he sees you will leave everything on the pitch, and fight for your friends. If he does not see that he for-warns you that if you fail to show, he will publicly let it be known.

And I think he has earned the right to manage the way he does with all the success he achieved over the past 20 years. Now if next season the same as now, then I will join the brigade knocking him. Time to support him, rather some very sad people who are meant to be fans of ‘our’ great club, wanting him sacked.

It's not a case of resisting. It's the tactics being employed. I'm not buying this garbage of we have injuries so we can't play football.

Look at the players we have available. Are you telling me Wolves, Burnley Norwich and Watford have that many first teamers that can get ahead of our players currently playing and our bench?

Wolves - Adama
Burnley - nobody
Norwich - Cantrell, Aarons, Lewis
Watford - Capoue?

Those players I would love us to sign, but not one of those teams had more than 3 players that should be playing for us. So why are we treating them like they are the superior teams?

Right now JM is the most negative managers in the league. I don't care what he says about the players but it's clear he doesn't want to play football. If he isn't going to trust Toby, GLC, Lamela, Lucas, Winks and Alli to play football then who is he going to trust? Does he think only Son and Kane can play football? Is Sissoko now the only midfielder that we trust with a pass?

No. None of that is the case.

The first 3 games showed he can release our attacking side. Those 3 games showed work on our defending. But now we only attack if we losing? What is the point of that?

The more training sessions JM has, the more negative we get. Why curb our attacking when it's clear we can't defend? We nullify the one thing we good at.

Please don't say it's a lack of attackers. Lucas, Bergwijn and Alli are still there. JM needs to adapt the attack slightly not stop it. I appreciate the is the whole new system coming next season, but then why introduce a whole negative system that simply isn't working? Why not train in that new system now. It's not possible that he has this new system and none of the players he has at his disposal are capable of adapting to it. I simply cannot believe that because that means we need 25 new players next season.

It's just so frustrating seeing a team with Lucas, GLC, Alli, Bergwijn and Lamela literally not being allowed to play.

And no, I have not only been supporting spurs through the good years. It's been 31 years supporting Spurs, I lived through the relegation battles, cup final losses and George Graham anti-football.

Could be completely wrong but I thought there was a correlation between spending(transfers & wages) and success. Maybe I’ve just made that up?

also hate the we do things differently and we’re unique spiel they come out with all the time, because if it doesn’t help you out on the pitch, what good is it being different. I’d rather be like all the other clubs that go out and truly make it their aim to win something.

we won’t win anything bar maybe the odd league cup every decade with this mob in charge.

I would immediately hire @Shadydan as head of PR so he could talk down to all of the fans who thought we did anything wrong.
You mean if we lost 7-0 at home to Grimsby in the cup he could come and tell everybody they should not complain at all, then the PR spin would go into overdrive with excuses like team hotel had a fire alarm go off, there was no toilet paper at the training ground etc so I vote yes patronisation with a smile.

But if you want to tell me what I think it would be nice if you could actually get it right, at least some of it.

I don't blindly hate anyone on this earth, not one person. Especially not him, I like Jose's persona, I like his open interviews to the fans, I think he's more honest than Pochettino at times. I respect that he has got Tanganga through, he is giving game time to Skipp I love that. He is playing Parrott a bit I love that. I like that he has made Lo Celso central to his plans, tried to reinvigorate Dier. There are other things.

If we came out on the front foot against teams and showed a bit of bravery I would love him, that’s all it would take. I feel Sad for him that he is adopting a style that will guarantee failure.

I fear the club is going to regress, I fear technically gifted players are going to leave rather than play this style. Anything I say bad about him comes from this not hatred, Kane could play for Klopp, Guardiola, Zidane playing beautiful football, Lo Celso and Son the same and Ndombele too. They don't need to waste their careers playing like this, feeding off scraps. I am frightened what we'll be left with.
Yeah, but we all have those fears, buddy. Who knows what will happen? Surely given that, we need to hold off and see what happens first and fully taking into account all factors?

But a poisonous atmosphere (not that I'm necessarily accusing you of that, just speaking generally) helps no-one. And so it's exasperating to see toxicity being indulged in (again, not necessarily saying you).

You're asking for something that may not be deliverable right now for all sorts of reasons. Holding Mourinho, or any manager, accountable for some of the things that have been plaguing us for some time and the stuff that's happened that's outside of his control is being very unfair. So we're left asking why people are being unfair. Either they don't realise there are mitigating factors, don't feel they're valid, or don't care.

For the first or second, when made aware or when discussed, it should at least change what they say (not necessarily their opinion, just how they approach the discussion). If the third, then it just infects the discourse. I couldn't see any real change to the things you'd said - not necessarily in response to me, just in general, so it did make it difficult to imagine that there was nothing other than dislike driving your thinking.

As I said, I don't expect you to like or dislike Mourinho. Just that he's given time and that we all try (and I'm not absolving myself of that responsibility) and be a little less vociferous in our opinions so that we can have a real discussion rather than contributing to the battle lines that some very foolish people have been desperate to draw. If you're not one of them, and I take you at your word, then let's discuss the merits of the case rather than assign qualities that we don't have evidence for.

But levy said there is no evidence to support this so man city, Chelsea, utd, real Madrid and Barcelona do not spend to be ambitious, thanks Mr levy you certainly have not insulated your customers intelligence with that.:joyful:

Great post I agree with you 100% honestly. I actually hate it when I get like this and feel like it because I always want to be and try a positive supporter. I want Jose to succeed massively I hope no one doubts that, to any of the people I have argued against, don’t let me take your optimism away.

God I hope we are successful somehow, the club and supporters deserve it.

My moaning has officially ceased.

Herc, think that for some fans Jose is a bit of a stand in for Levy. They realize the bald one is immovable so get frustrated with Jose. Seen that at Utd for a few years until Woodward (luckily for him) decided to stick and back Ole. Similar at the Arse.
