No point showing such fight after the game. Did that in my section and he’d have got switched off the fat entitled ****. Championship player

You represent everything that is wrong with the modern day Spurs fan. You are the one that is entitled, i only wish Dier went into your section and gave you a good hiding.

I do mate, even with present circumstances.

The lane wasn't great at times, I think you're rewriting history a little bit mate.

Remember back to the AVB days and I distinctly remember when people used to lose their shit when we weren't playing fast tempo football, even when Poch first arrived the atmosphere was dull.

It only takes a good performance to get the crowd off their seat no matter what stadium you play in, I just think so far we're suffering from a hangover and the fans are bored/pissed off and expecting us to play well.

Breaking News: Dier given a new contract today as a result of last nights performace. The new interactive stadium experience will be running fortnightly exclusively at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

No idea. Disappointed I do.

For me, I hate the contempt I have for Spurs fans now. My dad lovingly brainwashed me into supporting this shit-show and I felt a real affinity for any **** I saw with a Spurs cockerel tattoo or wearing a Spurs shirt in public. I don't know why, whether it's social media, the fact I go on this forum and have to mix with rabble like @Spurs_Bear or something else - but I just can't stand our fans at the moment.

You reckon it would be any better if we had the old WHL now, I don't.
When you know you’re shit it’s easier to take. You could enjoy the highs that little bit more. Now people turn up and are outraged, yes, outraged, we don’t win every game.

It’s not just our fans.

Tbh back on the days when I bothered going to England matches I actually found the fans even worse and even more scummy.

It just seems to be a thing that football either attracts or makes people turn into ****s, but is also a reflection of the behaviour of a lot of society in general really.

If Dier catches his best form he would be a really good leader and captain for us. I hope he can but I am starting to see glimpses of the old Dier returning. Was easily one of our best players the last two games.

Something we are lacking at the moment too. His performance and attitude last night (on the pitch) was a bright spark and surely something Jose must have noticed. Despite things being difficult at the moment we have a good selection headache.

Would love to see Dier turn things around.

So true... seems that football fans these days have become entitled and forget the whole "through thick or thin" sort of stuff.
My father-in-law is a Cambridge season ticket holder. They're sitting middle of League 2, completely safe from any threat of relegation, but some way off a play-off spot.
They lost for the first time in 4 games on Saturday and the vitriol posted on FB etc is ridiculous.
He's moaning away about it, saying the players are a shower of shit, that he's done with the club etc.

Sometimes you have to know your club's place in things. Middle of League 2 IS their position, from a financial and on-pitch perspective. They couldn't sustain the club if they got promoted.

Absolutely desperate for Dier, the man, to find a place back in the fulcrum of the team. He has most of the intangibles required to be a rabble rouser, a leader and someone to be counted on and lead by example when our backs are against the wall, but it’s just been so hard to get there from the playing side of things these last couple of years, whether it has been caused by illness or injury or whatever.

I’d absolutely love it if he somehow knuckled down as a CB and completely cemented a spot as his own, because you want a character like him in the team, as long as the footballing component of it isn’t a millstone on the teams neck

The stadium has over inflated expectations, tbf I think people have a right to expect more but that doesn't mean people should be ****s.

Generally though football fan culture is getting worse, some football fans are horrible vile creatures when they sit in the stands and think they have the divine right to shout obscenities at players.

We had more. We had foundations with more work needing to be done but we were going in the right direction. Just not fast enough. So burn it to the ground and then complain the place is on fire. Brilliant.
