Must admit I have only read the stats for day one so far but the trends are very informing and should narrow down the field a lot for me
I bought this last week so will study up shortly as the runners and riders become a bit clearer.

Yeah I have that as well. Stats on the opener don’t read well for shishkin that’s for sure
On Shishkin check out this link

Since 2003 128 horses lined up at Cheltenham off the back of a warm-up/last time out effort at Huntingdon and ALL 128 were beaten.

Henderson also has a poor win record in the Supreme since 2008, 1 winner from 23 runners, that was a decent horse though, a certain Altior

You have to remember all these favourite trends are a load of baloney, a horse doesnt know it is the favourite.

agree with the 2nd part but a lot of people do follow the trends

It’s nothing ground breaking. They’re all favourites.

Bennie Des Dieux - Mares Hurdle
Envoi Allen - Ballymore Hurdle
Tiger Roll - Cross Country
Paisley Park - Stayers Hurdle

12.5/1.

A couple of them could run elsewhere, but as I said it’s NRNB.

Also, my record at Cheltenham the last two years has been piss poor so I wouldn’t really advise following my bets! :D.

Benie hasn't been supplemented for the Champion Hurdle and Envoi has been taken out so I am now all over this 4 timer also, still 12.5/1 with SkyBet

it looks a decent bet now. doesn’t look like the ground will go heavy, so Envoi will likely go Ballymore over Supreme.

i still think Summerville Boy will get closer to Paisley Park this time - 1.5 lengths down last time out, if he jumps without mistakes it could be a real close run thing.

Summerville Boy beats Paisley Park in my opinion.

The engine this horse has is unmatched, its just his jumping that constantly lets him down. Clear round and he eats them all up for breakfast.

well, agreed, not sure why i was being so diplomatic.

i remember i’d backed Kalashnikov ante-post for the Supreme 2 years ago, i was sitting pretty on a 25/1 ticket. Summerville boy tanked up the hill out of nowhere and chinned him. had a few issues since, but the last run v Paisley at Cheltenham made me think he’s back on track and will run a big one.

Unlucky with Kalashnikov that year, i remember he was very well backed on the day. Even when Summerville won the Supreme he made two or three serious jumping errors. Unfortunately i expected a much bigger price on Summerville for the Stayers, slightly disappointed in the best price 10/1 on offer as he has his risks.

he was much bigger prior to their last meeting, but the bookies have obviously had the same thoughts as us.
