Dier was involved with fault for their second and third goals - mainly due to being slow and lumbering.

I don't know what's wrong with him but he's lost all mobility.

It's quite frustrating watching Lo Celso coming and upping our game only for Davies to scuff crosses, Dele to eff it up, Winks to do not much and Dier to play like it's a kick around in the pub garden. Too much deadwood in this squad, and Dier for all his problems has to move on.

Dier was and always has been a bang average player. People can see it easily now since he doesn't have Wanyama or Dembele covering his ass. Should be one of the first to be sold.

He used to make up for his lack of ability and mobility with outright passion. Now he plays with no passion at all. Like he is just jogging around a park on a Sunday morning.

I mean, Lo Celso was terrible for large parts of the game last week too. No one is covering themselves in glory at the moment but hopefully with more time things will start to click and we can starting putting in performances greater than the sum of our individual parts.

Probably should of dealt with their first goal better. No way we concede that with a top draw centre back dealing with that cross. I guess thats the answer

I think it's just the luck of the draw. The cross was fired in at waist height. Sometimes you get something on it and it's a brilliant bit of defending. You could equally get something on it and put it in your own net. In Dier's case he missed it and they scored. The defensive mistake is letting the cross be made in the first place - everything after that is a lottery.

I think he had a pretty decent game actually and if he gets a run of games at CB again he could be a very useful player there. Very glad he's come out and said CB is his best position not CDM, if he believes that and Jose thinks the same then I'm fully on board with keeping him and giving him a go there as I've always thought he could be a top top CB, especially in a back 3.

I’m probably alone in this but I though he was fine v Wolves, just let down by poor positional play from all four defenders flanking him (less so Sanchez).

I only saw the first half and thought he was surprisingly pretty good. Nonetheless I still think him and his best mate Dele have both always been bang average made to look good in a formidable Poch system and surrounded but better players.

Glad he has come out and stated that for his own career. I think he looks better in a 3 rather than a 2 however - I don't think I trust him in a 2.

Unfortunately since all of his injury problems he seems to be slower/bigger.

Regardless I don't think his form for the last couple of years has shown any green shoots from our perspective and he finds himself behind Toby and Sanchez for sure and potentially blocking Tanganga's development. His contract runs out next season so I think the only option we have is to look to sell him in the summer albeit I don't think there will be lots of interested parties.

Shoot me down i actually thought he played OK even though we conceded 3 goal. His tackling was on point however the very best CB hardly tackled and intercepted. He seems imo a more aggressive CB and quicker than Toby

Happy to shoot you down. Toby shits all over him from a great height. Toby is far braver, more aggressive and is positionally far superior. He also has a better range of passing. Apart from that you are spot on.
