Don't be so hard on yourself, old chap. We all do things that we regret after looking at it in hindsight.
True, but we have to wear them too, every day. Talking from personal experience. I'm crying on the inside.

Agree. To my constant shame, I once puked in a woman’s handbag in a pub in the early 90s and didn’t even tell her. I just saw a convenient receptacle and heaved my tequila tinged madras into it, before deftly zipping it back up and walking out the boozer and into
the autumn evening, soft rice colonising my oozing chin

Lets close this thread, i got this one completely wrong. I have pissed off a lot of people.
Don't worry about pissing people on the internet off.
You've created a debate, which is what this place is for. Sure, plenty of folk are vocal about this thread being too early and I probably agree with them but, I'm sure there are plenty who also share your concerns. Maybe they aren't as vocal for fear of being shot down.
I don't think you should be afraid to share your views for fear of upsetting people.

If you’d said ‘Time for Jose to go, who’s next?’ I’d probably have agreed with the others.

Truth is I see Jose as an expensive, but necessary stop-gap. Stabilise a team that is in decline before we most likely part with him way way before his contract is up.

This thread will be a lot more relevant, a lot sooner than people may think imo.
(Although to others this thread is everything that’s wrong with the world right now )

To be fair the OP did say this isn’t Jose bashing etc just that at some point we will replace our manager, I get the negative reactions but he/she are basically just asking who are some good realistic managers out there we might want in the future. Sure it’s not really that time to be thinking about it but right now a few of these names could be good fit for spurs :
nuno - wolves
rogers - leicester
nagglesman - leipzig
wilder - Sheffield utd
ten haag - Ajax
Ralph Husenhuttl - saints

not a fan of potter and no Chance of guadiola but most the names you’ve sad are decent shouts

You are an expert of contradicting yourself

There is a dedicated thread for anyone wanting to comment on Jose.

So in other words you don't really see him as a necessary stop gap.

This thread certainly highlights what is wrong with the modern age and internet message boards. People seem to feel it is necessary to share their opinion no matter how silly or stupid it may be.

We as a forum like to bash *silly* threads but then keep them going and going...and I realise I have done just that with this reply.

I didn’t want him to begin with but that doesn’t mean I don’t think he should get the time to prove me wrong at the very least. 2-3 years absolute minimum to impose his ideas. I’ll still be here when he’s done.

Pretty much it, I had my doubts over the appointment, a totally wrong fit for a cheque book manager, his past record for sulking and self imploding but he is our manager and TBH he's a **** but he's a likable ****. He is also a winner at his time at United which most of us were laughing at, at the time.
