I'd rather us not get any European football than the EL and whilst I don't see us as 100% out of the race, we are going to be caught soon by the likes of Everton and Burnley.

Our defense is not good enough to park the bus, our current attackers are not good enough for counter attacks. And the team we saw today is not at all good enough to play technical attacking football on this level. So, we are fucked! I would try out Parrott, and then there isn't much to do except hoping Son or/and Kane will return soon. By the way, that pre-match talk transcript from wednesday that is leaked, is it false or what? Can't believe that was Mourinhos message to the players.

I'm conflicted. If we have (and we fucking well should) and influx of incomings and outgoings in the summer then the Europa does give us a great platform to blood those newbies as well as a number of youngster like Parrott.

Plus its a route into the CL. And any other route maybe needed. Weve gone backwards big time and top 4 will be harder than ever.

100% agree with this, think it's easy to think no European football would be great but with a huge squad overhaul in the summer the Europa would give us a chance to give players game time who may struggle otherwise.

Plus I actually think it is the most winnable competition for us when you consider Liverpool and City are more than likely going to cross our path if we were to win a cup on home soil.

We have good players but we have no team. We do not look even vaguely like we are good enough to get into the top four. Nor should we.

The Sonny injury has well and truly killed the season. People who said that Son filled in previously, are correct, but we always had at least someone else too. Whether it be Janssen or Llorente. Never have we had it that we've only had 1 senior striker in the entire club. That is absolutely ridiculous. Of course Kane is #1 but that doesn't mean its impossible to get a back up

It beggars belief as to why we opted to 'stick with what we've got' in January despite Jose's insistence on bringing in a number 9.

Negligence. LEVY.

have you even considered that the number 9 we want on a permanent wasn't available in January? hence why we tried to do loans without an obligation

January was too late. This should have been sorted last summer.

Same old spurs. No foresight and planning

I disagree it should have been sorted the summer we never bought anyone.

with all the money we were told we had pre-window but needing to offload the deadwood due to squad size, and we have been told by ITK, and top pundits that there was money to spend then why didn't we spend it?

if it was because of Poch then he only has himself to blame today, if it was because the players Poch wanted didn't want to come then no 1 can be blamed. if the players were available but the asking price was way over the top of what we could afford then no one is to blame except possibly the banks for not trusting us with too much more debt.

remember we only sorted a new financing for the stadium in the summer, but we are still 635m in debt so if we only had a certain amount to spend we might not have been able to borrow what was needed. it would be superb if JL threw us a good chunk (which if I remember correct Levy would need to match 15% to not lose any of his stake in us) then it would be brilliant, but JL doesn't seem to want to do it, or Levy doesn't want to match it, so we have to settle for what we can do with what we have.

we do also have a small problem in how many top strikers would join us knowing that when fit Kane is 1st choice

Never should have let llorente leave without signing another backup. He's no world beater but at least he would have given us the option of having a target man for Lucas or dele to play off or attacking the wings and putting crosses in and work off his knock downs.

4th isn't done with yet but we need to figure out an alternative game plan moving forwards as we just don't look like scoring

I don’t see any problem finishing top 4 or 5 this season

I’m mean if you include Eriksen we’ve only lost 333 goals at this moment in time

Eriksen 69
Son 83
Kane 181

That doesn’t even include the goals they create

Let that sink in for a moment...

probably true. if he's good enough for Napoli he's good enough for us.

Have you ever considered that we've needed a number 9 to challenge and play with Kane when we got rid of Llorente last summer. In fact there's an argument to say that player could have come in a number of windows even earlier.

To say we've only had one window is bullshit I'm afraid. Whether that's Poch, Levy or a mixture of both I couldn't give a rats arse. We are consistently making huge mistakes when it comes to recruitment. That is fact.

We’ll finish 5th, think we squeezed into the champions league because of man shitty’s FFP palaver, and then their ban gets overturned and we head into the EL -> worst possible outcome.
