OK. Tell me about the green shoots. What can you see? I hope you're enjoyig the Chelsea game because I'm not. Not just because of the result but the complete lack of ideas.

Bit hard to judge when we have no strikers, what exactly are you expecting?

This is why I am willing to give him some time because we are in a shit situation.

We got to CL final without Kane. It's not all about who's available. We used to give top six teams a game or even more. Now we're nowhere near them.

We had Son...

Look at our record in Poch's final season against the top 6 teams, tells you were this current team is..

Many of those results could have gone either way. You seem to have forgotten the words of Bill Nic

But they didn't so it's a pointless statement.

We had 'control' and dominated possession in the majority of our matches last season and we were largely shit so not sure what your point is? Having possession and control of the match is all well and good, it's what you do with the ball that counts.

I think you're confusing control with possession. During Poch's best seasons we also controlled games and created chances. I agree that Poch was going downhill fast (not all his fault) but you can't seriously be enjoying these performances. If this carries on our best players will leave. My point is that unless you're as good as Athletico Madrid in their prime you can't win enough matches with the way Mourinho sets up. Football has moved on. If a modern coach were in charge of Spurs they would be tryng to sow the seeds of some kind of revolution a la Nagelsmann and we're seeing none of that. I would argue Mourinho can't even motivate some of them. They look like they're not enjoying their football.

How much 'control' in matches did Poch have in his first season, not many now compare the two situations

Yes but he was trying things. Please tell me what Mourinho is trying to do. I am struggling to see it.

He was trying to play the diamond. About 38 goes at it it felt like. Worked maybe twice?

If it goes tits up under Jose, it won’t mean automatically Poch should have stayed. It’ll just mean those in power need to be very seriously questioned.

I think he's trying to keep us tight in the first 70 and play in the last 20, that's what it looks like to me.

Because when we try and play with any control in 90 mins we end up on the back of 2-7 and 0-3 scorelines.

This team is more fucked then we thought.

It’s knackered. Need a fair few in but obviously more so in a couple of positions than others. A proper centre midfielder would mask a few issues. As would a competent striker.

Long term, we need full backs, centre half ( zero faith in either Belgian ) the said centre mid and striker. The side is a mess. Everyone bar Kane is replaceable
