I really want to like Ndombele, but fuck me whenever he gets touched it hurts him and his off the ball play is some of the shittest i've seen. Hopefully it's the 'injuries' he has had which is reflecting him in a bad light.
That what happens when you scout a player off youtube

Where have Spurs gone? Have we really lost 5-6 years of progress in 3/4 of a season?

Midfield is where all the problems are yet again. Can't carry one player if they're not willing to put the graft in. Bollocks stuff really. Lazy.

Barclay has found that he can sit easily in between our CBs and CMs and no-one will get close to him. Either a CB needs to step up permanently, Winks needs to learn quickly how to shield his defence, or we take Ndombele off and try playing with 11 men
We dont mark players at all. Looks like we intentionally give them space. Every time an op player gets the ball he has 3 or 4 options to pass to. I have absolutely no idea wtf it is we are trying to do. Looks a complete cluster fuck to me. Mouras second touch is a tackle is so true.

We’re still in it and we’re bound to have a little hurrah at some point in the second half. Chelsea are crap, a bit of front foot football and we can hurt them.

Question of how much we can squeeze out of Lamela. Alli will have a point to prove as well.

Ndombele is generally good with the ball but his off-the ball work is way below par for a PL midfielder.

That's easier to improve on then vision, technique etc, so I'm still confident he'll come a really good player. Problem is that right now with the available players and this tactical setup he becomes a bit of a passenger.

Dele for Lucas needs to happen. And give Ndombele 10 more minutes if he doesn’t improve bring on Lamela

We can still get something from this game

well. despite what the commentators would have you believe, Chelsea haven’t been amazing. they’ve had a lot of the ball, but thats clearly part of our game plan.

if we could wake up a bit, actually control and pass properly, then we can take them. the few times we’ve done it, we’ve created.
