I'm inclined to think that the first option that will be tested is Bergwijn as central.

My take is try not to move players from their best positions as it causes further disruptions. Only solution for now is a 4-3-3 with Dele as a withdrawn CF which is not too far off what he does now to an extent

I can recall that few years ago we've had similar problem with our main 'strikers' Adebayor and Soldado injured (or maybe just being shit, my memory isn't that good) and some random guy from academy decided to step up.

Come on Troy.

Yep that's the exact pressure Troy needs

Our luck with injuries this season is ridiculous. Lloris, Kane, Sissoko, Davies, Son - all went though surgeries. On the other hand, just how lucky is Liverpool to have escape all these by playing the same 14 players week in and out.
Davies, Foyth, Hugo, Alli, Sissoko, Alli, Lamela, Son, Kane have all had significant injury problems this season. That's a third of our squad. It's insane.

I would play Alli as a false 9 and go 4-3-3 with Ndombele in with Winks and Lo Celso, keep the pace out wide with Bergwijn and Moura

Gotta be looking to incorporate Parrott. Other players his age are getting good game time for other Prem teams, including our rivals. If I was him and even after our two premier attackers are suffering from long term injuries and I still wasn't getting a sniff I'd be a bit miffed. I mean, 'cause if he isn't getting in now, then he isn't getting in next season either assuming Kane and Son are fit for at least the majority of it. I don't mean throw him in the deep end, but I'd be looking at him being the first choice sub in the attacking department and getting some minutes, leading to starts if he shows his quality.

I suppose it's a matter of perspective. To me, it's a massive difference asking of Dele to be any version of the actual CF, and as such, making the same assessment as you but reaching a different conclusion, I think it's less of a disruption to put Bergwijn there.

Mostly agree but unconvinced Ndombele can manage 45 minutes of football.

I'd go 433 with Gedson in the "Ramires" role - joining attacks and running beyond the false 9.

He seems to have the speed, stamina, and desire for that role.

Would allow Lo Celso to concentrate on getting on the ball and running the game.

I have seen today lot of fans wanting Jose to play Parrott.
But is the lad doing himself, any favour. In Jan, he knows he is going to sign a contract, knows Kane is out, we dont have no9. Sees Tanganga being given debut against Liverpool.

What does he do ?

Go on a 'winter break' to Dubai and get himself in Sun tabloid story for hanging out with a friend whose family are in drug scenes. There is nothing to suggest he did anything wrong. But why does he need a break ?

Golden ticket is waiting. Go train in Hotspurway ,along with other Pros like Davies. Kane got that opportunity when Soldado, Adebayor was struggling. Took his chance. Trained even harder. Now, fulfilling his potential.

Today, in all this crisis, he is not even in the first team training. Injury ? I dont know. But ,I bet its because, Jose thinks he isnt mature enough to be part of first team.

Many young prospects have wasted their career for lack of trying. I sincerly hope , Troy is not that.

I am not bashing him here. All I am saying is, Jose knows whats he is doing. If he can see a Tanganga and give him debut vs Liverpool, he can also see Parrott. If Jose is not playing him, fans shouldnt be on back of Jose...Opportunity is waiting, its really up to Troy now.

It is, but don’t forget we had a load of injuries last season as well. Paying the price of neglecting to invest in the squad and 5 years of hard running and super intensive training under Poch. With a sprinkling of typical Spurs shit luck thrown in for good measure.

It's a massive blow but our two lineups against Ajax last year were also pretty lacking and we made it through. We'll surely have to ride our luck, but that's fine.

Mate- we made it through against Ajax by the skin of our teeth, and only because we managed one good half of football, a half in which- as I'm sure you'll recall- we finally deployed a target man in Llorente, whose very presence completely changed the tie.

And now we don't even have that.
